The last rebuttal listed on this site is definitely not me and I am sure it was someone from the company... However it was not Berman that did the move. It was Tigert Moving, but I do not hold them responsible. They were the ones that actually informed us that National Moving does this all the time. They quoted us 2500 lbs for a three bedroom house and Tigert told us that they have seen one bedroom apartments for that weight. Tigert also informed us that National Moving Network just tells you what you want to hear to get your $500 deposit. Then they are no longer responsible. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY... They did not even give me a contract. I did not even sign a contract. Do not let them bully you I was not aware of my rights untill I paid my $3000.00 to Tigert and now there is not much else I can do I am however trying to get my $500 back.

Berman Moving & Storage was not the company that did the pick up.
I have searched my paperwork but cant find the name of the company that was contracted to do it. I was mistakingly looking at one of the many quotes I received before my move and thought it was Berman moving.
I will try to see if I can find out which company it was.

Shawna, the movers pull this type of stuff a lot. I would do everything possible to make business hard for them-(just think for a while, I know some things will come to mind) Even something as simple as a little bumper sticker, saying "##### movers SUCK!" is a nice little start...
When it comes to these kind of places, cheaper (quote) might not always be better (sometimes they need the business THAT BAD.
Make sure you pay with a credit card if you can- then reverse the charges -(the only thing a credit card is good for)
Good luck!

National Moving Network is a broker. Do you know the name of the company that actually did the move? Check you paperwork and see if you can also find a DOT number and an MC number. If you post this info, I can help you figure out where to write complaints to. Where did you move to and from?
