National Rebate Fund Fund Administrators, LLC Rebate scam -I had Lasik surgery and the office offered a rebate after 48 months. When my rbate request was returned non deliverable, search Internet, many consumers have been taken by this company Grand Junction, Colorado
Had Lasik surgery 4 years ago. Surgery went well. I am pleased eith the results. Had a choice of immediate discont or a rebate in 48 months. Chose rebate. Well, followed the instructions and got a returned undeliverable (registered) letter. After searching the internet I found that this company has been doing this in various service sectors (Home improvement and recreational vehicle sales were big hitters) under both National Rebate Fund and National Enegy Rebate Fund. The owner has finally been hit with a class action suit in Wisconsin and thepersons whoare making claims under this suit are reporting they will get 8% of their expected rebate. Ihate to think that someone got away with this, andit is a shame that people "lost" money. What is even worse are that reputationsof legitimate businesses were tarnished by participation in such a program. I am not angry with my doctor, butinstead sympathize with him in the fact that his professionalism and ability willbe questioned due to this. I feel follish that I fell for this scam, and as everyone else is saying -if itseems too good to be true, it probably is. Grateful that my loss is small compared to many others..
