Nations 1st Communications Unauthorized fees, scam, corrupt Clearwater Florida
This company has added a monthly fee of $14.84 to my Verizon phone bill. This is unauthorized fees from a telecom company we never heard of. We called the number for billing questions 1-866-527-4960 and was told by a rep. that my husband authorized this service over the internet. This was a total lie because my husband would never do anything that would cost us money. He only visits geneology websites and NEVER puts personal information over the internet. The rep. said that only my husband can authorize a discontinuation of service. I handed the phone to my husband and he gave his authoriztion to discontinue the service he never signed up for along with our money back. The rep. gave me a confirmation number for the return of the fees from Nov. '07 to Jan. '08 and the address in Clearwater to write to to demand the returen of the other six months of fees, starting from May of 2007.
We are lax in checking our monthly paper invoices/bills because we have them paid over the internet automically every month. This was a tough lesson to learn.
