my fiance "won" a 3day and 2 night vacation. we picked daytona beach because we can drive there  we sent in a check for $50 (yeah bad idea). we called to get more information about our itinerary and were told we would be staying at the Bermuda house on the beach, sounds great right? wrong! i have family up in that area and because i am a dialysis patient and someone they love they said do not go. upon receiving this information we looked at reviews of the hotel. it is a hotel that has been foreclosed on the pool is empty, no hot tub up and working, tiki bar closed, $5.00 a day for parking which we were not told, there is mold and bugs coming out of the vents, cant open balcony doors but wouldn't go on it anyway the balcony rails are rusted and falling apart and smells like urine and the employees are horrible. this was supposed to be my birthday present. I even called the hotel no answer. called nationwide reservations at 12 noon on june 8 was told the wait time was 3-5 minutes. 10minutes later i gave all me information 4 times on 4 different phone calls: the first i was told i had to speak with the "bonus dept" there was a wait time for 2-4 minutes. another 20 minutes later the phone rang 50 time (yes i counted) then silence waited another 15 minutes hung up and did the same thing all over again. phone call 3 i was informed i  this will be the last transfer bit had to speak to the florida office ( they are based in fl) each person i spoke with confirmed this but instead of being transferred to the florida bonus department i was sent to carnival cruise line. i was not going on a cruise just wanted to cancel my hotel reservation sent again to the bonus dept (60 rings) still nothing. phone call 4 was informed i needed to speak with the reservations department not the bonus department was told there was a holiday inn that they usually use but if its book they send you to an alternate hotel. i told them they should rethink that alternate. we are getting our $50 back. like i said started at 12 noon finally gut everything "done" at 145 pm
