I have had numerous problems dealing with NCO Financial. The rudeness of the people they employ is first and foremost. They will hangup on you if you ask for their name. If you ask for a supervisor, they tell you "we don't have any here." They WILL forward to a voicemail box of an employee who no longer works there. When asked for documention of a debt, they will tell you that they do not have to provide any information.

I searched on the web and found the name of STEVE LECKERMAN. He IS the VP of Collections according to corporate press releases. You can call the corporate headquaters, go to the employee directory on the voicemail system, and get to his office.

I spoke with him and had someone call me, MR RUBE? Supposedly he is the manager directly in charge of the collections offices. He said that he will follow up with my issues. Here is the direct number to his office 800 709 8622.

Please call these 2 guys directly and express your opinions/feelings about their company.

Rob, I also received their bogus letter stating that I owed $23.90. I called them and told them if I get one more letter, I'm driving up to Horsham and going to put the drivesham in somebody's azz. The lady said she didn't even know who I was, and I informed her "your fixin on finding out who I am". I also told her that I know their company is a scam, and a fraud company, she ended up hanging up on me. I'm glad you gave me the name Steve Leckerman, now I will really have some fun. I will call them in the morning with a little story about Stevie.

Rob, Just a friendly fyi: I was looking at the Better Business Bureau website today for NCO, and I came across some pretty interesting information: Government Actions On January 27, 2006, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP) announced an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance (AVC) with NCO Financial Systems to resolve issues concerning the company's operational practices. The BCP alleged violations of the PA Consumer Protection Law and Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act and were supported by complaints filed by consumers alleging the company's unfair, deceptive, or misleading debt collections practices. Under terms of the AVC, the company has agreed to implement new collections procedures, discipline representatives who do not follow correct procedures, improve monitoring and enforcing standards with subcontractor collection agents, and pay $300,000.00 as costs of investigation and future public protection purposes. For more information on this AVC, please contact the BCP at www.attorneygeneral.gov or 1-800-441-2555. Here's the direct link to their report on the BBB website: http://www.dc.bbb.org/ report.html? national=Y&compid=80002360 Here is the direct link to their report on the Attorney General's website: attorneygeneral.gov/press.aspx?id=881 I hope this info may give you a bit of rebuttal information in the unfortunate event that this would happen to you once again with NCO. Take care!
