For 30 years now I have worked as a real estate broker I have seen the ins and outs of the business and have worked all over Canada. Currently I am running a firm in BC and came upon a report about Netlinx Comm. while researching a paper supplier I'm considering. Anyways I believe the writer of the report was an employee and i will be commenting on that report once i have finished writing this one.



As a broker I must say that I would never associate with this company again. They do not have good business practices and caused much disturbance in my day to day dealings while at first assuring me I would not be disturbed. They promised to make me 3000 "folders" with advertisements promoting local businesses in my town. The owner of the company visted me and assured me that the company was great and seemed to be of good character so i signed a contract with them. That was my mistake.



Over 30 years I have thought myself a good judge of character but in this case I must say i failed to listen to my instinct. I signed with the company in early 2009 and still to THIS DAY am being harassed my business owners. I'm not sure what netlinx promised these people but they want appointments with me, they are angry and want to be reimbursed money which I have no clue about.



Apparently Neltinx sent in highly trained sales reprentatives to swindle money out of these people and promised highly professional ads and great business returns. They also promised that I would ENDORSE these business which I had NO CLUE OF.



I am so extremley angry at this company. They have damaged my reputation and cost me countless hours in damage control. They have cheated the people in my community. WHATS WORSE? I HAVE NEVER RECIEVED ANY FOLDERS. I have been continously callng the company for almost a year now and either they do not answer, they wont return my calls or I am treated with EXTREME rudeness on the phone. Consequently theyhave stolen money from local people whom I associate with every day, made promises on my behalf which i cannot keep and now are ignoring my phone calls.



I feel scammed and for a man in his late 50's this is not a good feeling. I would reccommend to all brokers to think twice before signing with this company. I have already contacted 7 other brokers including my brother who works out of Edmonton and warned them about the company. I was too late for one collegue who informed me he did sign with the company in 2008 and is also dealing with the ramifications now including half made folders.



I am SICK of getting the run around from the company. They do not have good business practices and I am contemplating going to the better business beaurea. No one should have to be at the mercy of people such as this.



I call on my fellow brokers who have been wronged my the company no matter how embaressed or swindled you feel come foreward and lodge a complaint. I speak honestly and truthfully no matter if the company had been McDonalds or Netlinx whats wrong remains wrong as my mother said. The only other way I can think of to warn good people against a scam is word of mouth I have a few spring confrences coming up and I will be warning my colleagues in the US about them, as I believe the owner was boasting to me in one of our intial meetings tha they have worked with many brokerages in the USA.



Amazing isnt it how the business world is now filtrated with scams and thieves such as these people and yet there are only limited roadways to stop them? Its a pity

I am sorry to hear that you were also a victim of Netlinx.  I am an ex-employee.  You are definately not alone.  During my time at Netlinx, I have heard many stories from brokers having to deal with frustrated business owners that were promised business and referrals from the broker's office if they paid for advertising in the folders. If you have some free time check out ratemyemployer.ca and search Netlinx.  It is a shame that this company can go to a town and make promises on your behalf which you are completely unaware of. There are soley there to get their money and get out and you are left to deal with their questions, when you had no idea what was being promised to the business owners.  I know how you feel when you cannot get them to return your calls. That's how they operate.  They just try to put everything over to the next week, then the next week and so on.  Eventually these guys will get what's coming to them. How much longer can they continue scamming people? I'm hoping their karma comes sooner than later.
