I bought a NetSpend reloadable Visa card from my local Food Lion. Paid $4.95 for card with an additional $75 to the grocery clerk. Got home & online cause I gotta pay my internet bill now. Seemed like it was loaded fine, until I tried to pay my net bill & the card kept getting declined. Went back to NetSpend.com to find out my Visa card in my hand was a Mastercard on their(NetSpend) site. The numbers did not match either nor did the expiration date & showed $0 balance.

I emailed NetSpend first explaining the situation. After I sent the email I noticed that it said they had a 48 hour turnover time. 2 days to resolve something this simple..really ?!

I called customer service & spoke with Joy first who assured me the problem was solved. Got back on NetSpend.com... nope, no changes. I kept trying & also sent them one of those blank emails without their address (sneaky).

Called again a little later & spoke with Erwin. He was even more assuring & said it might take a couple of hours to resolve...hours ?! But I said okay cause well, he assured me. He even said there was cash on my balance, just couldn't explain why nothing jived.

Here it is 6:32am the next morning & still no email update, no phone calls & still no correcting the card problem on NetSpend.com. So now I'm still $79.95 in the hole.

Guess I'll go back to Food Lion & see if they will stand by this NetSpend company. After all, I paid Food Lion for this headache...they should be held accountable too.
