I moved in 9/2002 and sent in my change of address. My account was not updated. I only found out when I tried to place an order on line and it was never sent. When I called about it in 11/2002, I was told my account was in collections and frozen. Turns out they had an old address. I gave them my new address and sent in a payment to bring the account current. Had problems again in 12/2002, and had to send in my address again. Had problems still in 1/2003, this time they had an incorrect name and address on my account and it was still frozen. Was told it would be corrected...of course it was not.

Just got off the phone with them this morning - my account is still frozen, they got my name back on it but it has some address I've never heard of and no phone number - account is still frozen, and the balance they show isn't even mine!!

"Ms. Jones" in Customer Service was unbelieveably rude, put me on hold in the middle of a sentence, transferred me to the wrong department. Patty in the Collections department, who was actually very helpful, stated that they can only submit change requests in writing and I should call Customer Service back directly.

I spoke with "Gene" in Customer Service who got angry when I asked for written confirmation that my account was being updated and fixed with the correct information. We'll see if this does it, or if it takes another six months.

Kind of a moot point since the credit card company has gone bankrupt...
