Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My credit limit was originally around $7000 with a 9.99% APR. After a while, the limit was raised to $12300. Once I used some of the extra credit- BAM! The APR went up without notice to a usurious 22.99% (In my opinion such an APR should be illegal), even though I had never made ONE late payment. Predatory lending, anyone? When NextCard tanked, I was happy that no more people would fall prey to such a trick at the hands of these a*****e charlatans.

When going online to make the payment for December 2, 2003, I was not allowed to send any amount as the system claimed that I had a zero balance. I did not receive any mailed statements either. In January a notice from NCO Financial Services had arrived saying the account was past due. Hello? It's not MY d**n fault the web payment service was messed up. I called NCO at the given number to remit $230. Later in the month, I attempted to go online to make February's payment. In that case, cardmemberservices.net showed a zero balance- you know the drill. This leads to the next thing.

And this is a real grogan. In the mail this week came a NextCard notice saying that the account was two months overdue and that $698 was due by March 2. A late fee of $29 was unfairly assessed. I noticed also that the account number was changed. How many other people have you done this bullshit to, NextCard?

My monthly interest on this account has been ludicrous since the APR jump to 22.99%. With my balance being around $11800, the month's interest came out to $213.93. Crooks. Paying $230 a month only means a net balance decrease of around $16.

I feel deep regret for everyone else who has dealt with this company, especially if they still have an existing balance and now pay unfair interest rates or have been slammed with late fees due to not being able to use the online payment service. How do we know they're not purposefully screwing up cardmemberservices.net so that they can assess loads of dollars in late fees? What a dirty double-dealing cadre of Devils.
