I thought I was the only persom being harrassd by Nextcard but after seeing this webpage, apparently I'm not. The oringinal bill was about 60 dollars which has been paid time and time again.

It seems you are charged a late fee of 35 dollars a month plus interest each month no matter what. The payment was 15 dollars a month. no matter what, the payment seems to never make it on time. Now after all this, the bill is still over 300 dollars and a minimum payment of 186 dollars. I give up.

I would be will willing to pay the original balance plus a fair interest rate.

I did a little more digging, I've never had but one credit card, the cc # my wife paid money to, I have no idea where it came from, it is not my cc#, talking about a ripoff, for some reason I saved my cc# after NextCard folded, now I'm glad I did. Folks, check your credit card #, I seriously believe these folks are making up these numbers.

I applied for a Nextcard in June of 2000. The reason I wanted the credit card was to sign up with Juno.com. I used the card approximately four times, the last time was at a Walmart around the middle of December of 2000. The purchase was approximately $58.00, this amount was paid off in early 2001, since that time I trashed all records that I felt were no longer needed. I didn't hear anymore from them until I got a letter that Nextcard had been sold and that I owed them money. Some institution by the name of NCO Financial? The question is, what do I need to do to get this mess resolved. Any and all help is appreciated. Sincerely, Benny Very Weird! I found out my wife had been sending them donations, what else can you call it but that has stopped, no more! Also on my credit report, it showed I owed them nothing when FDIC took over, go figure. I had a problem with Citibank about 7 years ago as I was out of work and my bill was over $1600 and my interest rate was over 18%. Well, my dad talked to a consumer reports reporter for the Atlanta ABC affiliate and he said make a settlement offer. We sent a letter to Citibank and they accepted a 50% offer and we also had a statement in the letter that this was to be taken off my credit since it had been reported already. If you owe large balances you cannot pay the credit card companies WILL work with you and most likely will accept some kind of settlement. Don't think about giving up and stop paying even if they are scum buckets. It most likely will be reported as a charge off which stays on your record for 7 years.
