I ended up getting a bad deal from Nissan of Scottsdale and they told me that I could get a better rate for my payments to go down, but they didn't. They mislead you you into thinking that you will get a better rate and have your payments go down if you put a down payment... NOT.

I paid $19,995 (sticker price) for a blue book $13000-$16000 vehicle (2001 with over 43,000 miles). I told them the day after I got the vehicle if they can give me a better deal. I pretty much got the door slammed in my face. They don't care about you at all as a customer. I would not recommend them to anybody. I am stuck with this vehicle with $500+/month payments and they don't care. Don't do the same, don't go there and get ripped off.

All, I have since returned the vehicle because they could NOT get me a better deal and instead wanted me to sign NEW paperwork to jack up my payments even higher. NO THANKS, so I gave it back. They then proceeded to try and put me in another vehicle. No Thanks. I went elsewhere for my business instead. Would not recommend doing business with Nissan of Scottsdale. Thanks for all the advice/comments.

Karen it drives me nuts as to what car dealers can and will do to car buyers. They get away with almost murder and NO BODY will do anything. I have seen just about everything you can think of and much more that car dealers do to car buyers. Sure seems that the auto manufactures don't care. I went to our state AG's web site and I found only one car dealer that they have gone after. http://www.azag.gov/press_releases/sept/2004/090704.html In New York it's a different ball game. New York's Eliot Spitzer does his job and he does it very well. Like to see a small sample of his work? www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2003/jan/jan17b_03.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2004/jan/jan08a_04.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2004/mar/mar31a_04.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2004/may/may21a_04.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2004/jul/jul20c_04.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2004/may/may19a_04.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/feb/feb28a_02.html I have many more of New York's AG's work to post if you want more reading. One might ask this question. Why is it that we can only find one thing that our AG's office has done about a car dealer. If one reads the Rip off Reports one would find that Arizona has many more auto dealer Rip off reports then New York has. I have to ask one question. Who is one the consumers side in this state when it comes to auto dealer deception? You can't go to 3TV and ask them to do a story on Auto dealer Rip off's. I was told by Scott at 3TV that doing stories on Car dealer scams and Rip off's is not news consumers care to hear about. They feel it is not news! Maybe car dealer's advertising money would be at stake! Buy then want a better price

You bought a vehicle and you were happy. THEN, you want home and did everything that you should have done before you went to the dealer - looked up the blue book price, maybe looked on the internet, and maybe talked to your friends. Then you said to yourself, I paid too much so I am going back to have them lower the price. This is your vehicle now!! It is not their's to lower the price even if they would or could. No scam here - just extemely poor planning on your part. Sorry.

I would just like to say that I am a very satisfied customer. This dealership has treated me exceptionally well and I plan to continue to do business with them. In fact I am copy/pasting a letter I sent to them thanking them for the way they treated me as a consumer. 11/22/04 Nissan of Scottsdale 7000 E. McDowell Rd. Scottsdale, Arizona 85257 To whom it may concern: I just want write this letter to thank you for the excellent customer service I received from your company. On Thursday (11/18/04) a tire fell in front of my car on the 101 and I was forced to run over it. My car still continued to drive well but I was concerned with some undercarriage damage that might have occurred. I brought the car by Saturday to schedule an appointment and Service Manager Bob McGinnis assisted me and set a time on Monday morning to look at it. He informed me I would receive shuttle service if needed. When I brought the car in, I assumed it would be at least an hour before it was brought into the garage. That is not what happened. To my satisfaction, my car was brought into the garage within minutes and I was called out immediately to view the minor damage that occurred. All that needed to be fixed was a couple pieces that needed to be bent back into place. They took care of that for me and I was on my way. The total time spent at your location was 15 minutes. I have to say I was more then impressed. In an industry constantly stereotyped to be full of scam artists, commission pushers, and dishonest salesman; Nissan of Scottsdale has shown me from the beginning to be the complete opposite. I have been taken care of as a customer from the beginning and will continue to do business with this company. I will be purchasing a 350Z next summer and I will be sure to make my selection with this company. Thanks once again for a great experience. I would like to also mention that the 2005 Nissan Altima I purchased from you has been an excellent vehicle and I recommend it to anyone. Sincerely: Tyler CC: Better Business Bureau Being in a complaint department myslef, I understand what exceptional customer service is and I feel Karen has went to extremely low lengths to try to slander potential clients of what I felt to be a very honest company.
