What you can expect when youre a Noble Roman's Franchisee-- 50% OFF SPECIAL AND YOU CAN"T FILL THE PLACE UP!!!!

This review pretty much says it all. Except for how bad their management team is completely devoid of any competence or has a clue how to make a profit by selling pizza.

Folsom Restaurant Reviews

Noble Roman's

1016 Riley St Ste 5

I discovered a cool little place today, Noble Roman's. We actually heard it opened a little while ago and have been meaning to try it out. Well, we got a coupon in the mail for 50% off everything, so we pretty much found our excuse. We weren't sure what to expect, as we'd never heard of this place before, though we knew it was a chain.

Anyway, we popped in and ordered a large pizza, breadsticks, and 4 drinks. $22 ($11 with the coupon). Not a bad deal. I must give the disclaimer that I'm not much of a pizza snob. I don't discount a place because it's not authentic or whatever... I'll give all pizza a try. Cheap pizza and gourmet pizza are practically 2 different styles of food.

We noticed right away this place was not exactly gourmet pizza. The plates were thin plastic, the cups were disposable. That's fine, I'm not here to judge. "Cheap" pizza certainly has its place. Poker nights, feeding the kids when mom has the night off, and late night after a night of drinking are all good candidates. We fed a family of 4 for $11, what do you want?

Anyway, the pizza itself was a little skimpy on the toppings, the bread was a bit thin. So we devoured it rather quickly. I liked the crust and the breadsticks. It had something unusual in it (maybe cornmeal?), but the texture and taste of it was pretty good. I would say the breadsticks are the best part of this place. Don't order without breadsticks - they

are very good. It was a solid "not bad" for cheap pizza.

The mood of the place was pretty somber, however. I don't know if it's the location, or what, but you'd think that there would be more people in the restaurant on a Saturday night when a 50% off coupon was in the mail. It was pretty desolate. I am concerned for the long-term prospects of this place if it's always like that. Check it out soon if you are considering testing the waters... I'm sure the owner would appreciate your business.

Style of Food: Pizza & Sandwiches

Dinner for 4: $22 ($11 after coupon)

Rating (out of 5): 3 (my science teacher always said "a solid C", so it didn't sting as much)
