Nokia 6340i cell phone ring volume poor performance. should recall the lot ripoff Internet
I returned my new Nokia 6340i cell phone to the Cingular store 3 times because the ring tone volume was only half the volume of my old Nokia 3360, and I missed a lot of calls. Each time they said there was no problem because the phone was ok.
I contacted Nokia on the web site to complain and they advised me to take the phone to a Nokia Service Center. I did that and the technician told me flat out that the phone was ok but the volume on that model was low and there is no way to make it better.
I think that this model should be recalled.
Even worse! The ringer quit altogether last month and all I have now is the vibrator to alert me to a call. As it was still in warrenty I took it to Cingular and they told me it had been wet and I needed to buy a new one.
So I said put it back together and I'll just use it like it is. Later I took it to the Nokia Service Center and the tech said he would put a new ringer in it. When he opened it up he said it's been wet also and could not repair it. Low volume? then quits ringing entirely two months before the warrenty runs out? Sounds fishey to me. I'm still using it.
