november of 2013 i contacted this dealership and spoke to a chad about a bmw on their website that was listed for 7000$ which was still available and with a 1000$ down i would be able to take it home so i drove over four hours away to get this car. Once i arrived there it was half an hour before i was greeted and once i was greeted and satdown with chad he told me the car wasnt available because the transmission was going out in it. After feeling like i had been lied to he informed me that with the thousand down there wasnt many vehicles he could get me into so i got on their website and he suggested i get a 2002 chevy avalanche that was listed at 8,000 and yhat after 6 months i could trade it back in. After being there 4 hours and upset i decide to take the truck for now and after they submit the paperwork it comes back that the 2002 avalanche was financed for 18,116.00$ and with intrest it came out to be 26,800$ now yes i dont have great credit but the vehicle was told to me to be $8000 and just a thousand more than the bmw. So i ended up leaving with bi weekly payments of 258.27. Thats over 500 a month for 4 years when they had stated the paymebts were high because it was for two years. They now said im two payments behind and a repo man is coming to get the truck. I have called about why the price is almost three times the value of the truck but was told if i could not afford it then thwy will come get it. Even if the 8,000 was a cash price i was not told that it was when they knew i was financing. At 8000$ there is no way they can mark it up to 15,999.00 after my thousand down for financing. There are charges on the paper that i do not understand and how it raised the price to $18,116.00 before intrest is added for a 2002 avalanche with 147,000 miles on it.I lost my thousand dillars and the month paynent that i made. Do not do business with these people unless you plan on contacting an attorney shorty after. I was lied to about the bmw being available until i arrived there, then they lied to me about the price of the avalanche and charged me almost 30 grand for a 2002 avalanche with almost 148000 miles that has the engine light on abs light on and the emergency brake light on. The front end also need 500$ of work which they never told me about even after their shop inspected it. These people are a scam and will rip you off.

Its funny that you think you know all that facts clearly you dont as i haven't stated all of them. Its obvious you are not a lawyer or you would know its not legal what happened. I did not give in to any pressure given the situation i had no choice i was told i would not be able to get another vehicle. I was told one price but sold another. Get a degree in law before you try and throw the law at me. Since i hav. Spoken to several aaccredited sources including a family member who deals with this im pretty sure i am not in the wrong.

Simple minded irrelevant PPeople amaze me. Hey whenever this is all said and done I'll let you know how it turned out maybe you wont be so confused as to who exactly is the weak one and youll understand the law better. Do your research better yet state some facts and not your opinions nobody cares what you think, only what the law states and if you Want complete facts then maybe you should have been my lawyer seeing as your not then i dont have to share that with you. Sorry but not sorry

“i had to be at work by 11pm that day with a four hr drive home and it was already 4pm”

That has no relevance.

“being told i couldnt get into any other vehicle unless i bought that one first”

I’m sure there are other auto dealers in Oklahoma.

“Laws are laws and it doesn't matter how slick you are. If someone is pressured into something more than likely they will do it.”

High-pressure salesmanship is not unlawful. Only the weak submit to high-pressure sales tactics.

“All i know is be ready to come with a fight and have your legal team ready.”

The bait-and-switch has nothing to do with your selection. Your complaint is about the price of the problematic vehicle you purchased. You are suffering from a case of buyer’s remorse. Happy motoring!

No i was not tied to a chair and as far as my resources i dont have to pay its an family member okay, second of all i had to be at work by 11pm that day with a four hr drive home and it was already 4pm and being told i couldnt get into any other vehicle unless i bought that one first and then come to find out that bmw was still for sale yea i can say it waa bait and switch.

Does it matter how slick this chad may have been? Laws are laws and it doesn't matter how slick you are. If someone is pressured into something more than likely they will do it. Could i have walked away?  Sure but how would i get home over four hours away i didnt come into this company blinded i was led to believe something all the way until i got.there. they could have called and said hey that car isnt available but they didnt.

If a car dealer advertises one price for a specific vehicle, and then asks another amount once you’re ready to make the purchase, it may be classified as “Bait and Switch.”  Bait and Switch tactics have been used by salesmen for generations, and notoriously within the auto dealership industry.  These types of tactics are not legal, and are considered “Auto Fraud,” which is punishable by fines and damages.

Im sorry that your upset about whatever it may be but unless you know the complete facts and was there you would not understand but of course im sure if it ever happened to you then you'd be writting a report on here too.

First off i did not let it happened i was pressured into this purchase.

- Really so just how big was the rope they used to tie you to the chair?  Or did they hold you at Gunpoint until you signed the paperwork?  Oh none of that happed...what a surprise.  Let me guess if you really wanted to you could have walked out of their at any time using your own two feet.

At 8000$ there is no way they can mark it up to 15,999.00 after my thousand down for financing.

- Sure there is, they could mark it up to what ever they want if someone lets them do it.

There are charges on the paper that i do not understand and how it raised the price to $18,116.00 before intrest is added for a 2002 avalanche with 147,000 miles on it

- Then why didn't you sign the paperwork?  How come you didn't make sure you understood it before you signed it?

As for your "legal resources", who ever these people are I just hope they aren't charging you any money as if they are you will be back here.  Not saying how you succedded against this dealer but how these "resources" Ripped you off as well.

Look, I am not saying that if everything you are saying is true, that you didn't get Ripped off.  But in the end YOU let it happen and NOTHING you posted showed they did nothing more than have a very slick salesman, selling a car to someone who should NEVER have tried to purchase a car on their own.  Oh and no I do not work for this company.

No matter what the signs are. Bait and switch is illegal it doesnt make it right to happen to anybody. Laws are in place to protectthe buyer and it happens many times that dealerships do this. All i know is be ready to come with a fight and have your legal team ready.

You Let This Happen

“I have called about why the price is almost three times the value of the truck”

You should have asked about that during the negotiation process.

“There are charges on the paper that i do not understand”

Yet you signed it anyway.

After you were drawn in by what was clearly a classic bait-and-switch; you agreed to purchase an unaffordable highly overpriced vehicle with three warning lights on. You let this happen.

Look out… here comes the repo man.
