I was personally scammed by this company and am still recieving harassing phone calls from them, i have continuously blocked their number and they always find a new phone to use and harass me. Itbwas early January that i got a phone call i was getting my kids ready for daycare and was running late to work but decided to answer the phone anyway. And they said i was nominated to recieve magazines for a paymen of $18.75 a month i was like sweet where do i sign up, and they asked me for my card information, but then said oh there was a problem can we have your checking information? I should have hung up right there but i wasnt thinking. So the next day i went to check my account, and the bastards took 2 payments of 85.85 out the same day, i had attemoted to call and cancel but the nmber they called me from was disconnected. So i immediately called my bank and told them to freeze any transactions from that account. And my bank even printed information about how they are some huge scam company. My biggest thing is these people keep calling me and saying i owe them money, I DONT OWE THEM MONEY IN FACT THEY OWE ME MONEY!

I was contacted by North Atlanta Magazine Company the day after Christmas 2013. I don't usually engage telemarketers but magazines are something my husband and I enjoy recieving. I spoke to a girl who explained the program and I chose 5 magazine subscriptions that I was to receive. She then transfered me to another representative to go over the order.
I spoke to the second rep who advised me that I would pay my account off quicker by doubling the monthly payment to about $40/mnth. I wasn't thrilled about the monthly payment but was willing to do it. I asked him many questions and was confident that I knew exactly what I was committing to. Both employees were polite and helpful.
After I hung up I had some buyer's remorse, and decided that I would cancel the contract. I had been instructed that I could send back the contract and cancel within 3 days of recieving it. I did just that. Because it was over the New Year holiday, the contract did not come to me quickly, but I sent it back the day it came.
As the calender approached the monthly billing date that my card was to be charged, I had not heard anything back from the company. I was expecting them to charge it anyway and my cancelation be denied. That was not the case. I recieved a call from them about a week later. The rep explained that they were a little behind because of the snow strom that hit Atlanta, but they had recieved my cancelation. After explaining that I was not happy with the monthly payment or the length of the term I had originally agreed to, she offered to drop the payment to about $18 and shorten the term to 2 years (originally 5years!) I was happy with this and have since been a customer.
I like that I can change my magazines if I don't like them or get bored with them. They also send additional bonus magazines to sample. (Who would have guessed I'd like Fast Company better than Glamour!)
The company does call me a lot and offer to give me a discount if I pay my balance off in full. I always tell them that I am happy with my current arangment and they don't push me about it. When I did finally tell them that I was recieving too many calls from them, they marked my account so that I would not be contacted for 90 days.
I feel I made an informed decision to commit to using this company. I have been happy with the services provided and the people I have delt with.

I am a current employee of North Atlanta Magazine Company. The last thing that our company is anything but a scam. The only reason that the prices ever differ is because there are many different ways to pay the payments of 18.70 per month.
You can pay for multiple payments at a time to make the payments quicker. All of the employees learned this during training. The Publishers is not a scam,we deliver all the magazines we say we will and never charge the customer a price they dont agree with.

hey ,
as far as i was concerned North Atlanta Magazine is not a rip off . it may be an aggressive telesales corporation , but there is no credit card scam going on .
the price is the same for everyone , however , there are many different ways to pay it . it is still $ 18 . 70 a month for each customer . sometimes it is easier to lump those many payments of $ 18 . 70 into a few less payments of greater amounts .
I am a current employee at this corporation and there is no rip - off , or scams that I am aware of .
