I am yet another victim to this "just legit enough not to sue" company. I found this ad in the Pontiac Oakland Press which stated it needed full/part time work at home people for office assistants. It had an area code 248 local phone no and when I called, a very slow speaking man voice gave a new 800 number.

I called and got the infamous Nancy Burton who explained the same things as the rest of these reports. She told me I would get a starter kit including a disc with 20 companies in my area and all I had to do was contact these companies and tell them how much work I wanted a currier to bring.

I DID check this company out on the better business site but did not find this name there so figured it was OK.

I ordered the kit (79.00) and waited over 2 weeks for it.

I called Ms Burton again to find out about it and also asked her if I had to apply or give resumes to these companies and she said no... just tell them how much work you want them to give you!

Well... that is NOT what my little book about starting your own business said. In fact you are not even supposed to mention North Leap when going for these companies! This is a very scandalous company that doesnt exactly lie but does not tell you the whole truth! As for my 79.00? Havent seen that yet either!

Mail box service location of the so called business

I just happen to live in the same area of the location of the so called business. I was curious and I decided to cruise on over to the location you posted. Well guess what? The address is a printing/packaging service that also provides mailbox service. The United Postal Service calls them a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA). CMRA is a private company that acts as an agent for receiving and delivering the recipient's mail. A CMRA is sometimes referred to as an OBC (Office Business Center) or a CEC (Corporate Executive Center).

It is clear that some companies will use a PO Box that has a physical address, and uses it as their real location to commit scams. According to USPS, the suite number you posted is supposed to be PMB (private mail box) not Suite which is a violation of the postal service.

Here is a suggestion I may add. If you want to check out a business that has the look of a real location go to the USPS web site and ask about the address if it is a CMRA. Business that creates the illusion that has an office, but it is nothing but a mail box service; I would steer clear. Of course always check out the RIP OFF Report for more info.

Anyways, anybody who is curious of what the place looks like when you send your money to get your kit.

The address is 1700 South Grand Avenue Suite 500
There is no Suite 500. it is in a tiny box...PMB 500
