I had hired Samuel Hicks (aka Sam Hicks) who is the President / Sole Owner of Northshore Software (North Shore Software) based in Chicago, to develop an application for iPhone.  He rents a office sharing space at 500 N. Michigan Ave.

He will propose a low cost contract and his intention is to basically scam you.  I made few installments as progress was being made.  When I asked to complete the project, he asked for additional installment so that he focus on my project only.  I paid in good faith but after that he stopped answering my calls.  When I kept on emailing and calling him, he said that he was being evicted from his home and does not have time.

When I asked for a timeframe, he sent me an email along with codes and said that he is not going to work on my project and this is the code and he does not owe me anything.  I had paid 85% of the contract price and all I got was garbage.  I showed the codes to other programmer and they said that it was nothing of use.

BEWARE of this person.  He is nothing but a SCAMER.  His intentions are to scam small businesses.

I have know Sam since we were in graduate school together. He got the highest grade in advanced distributed systems - at least he says. Haha. No he did. I agree with the others.

I know Sam Hicks too. In fact, he told me about this and that it can't be removed. Okay, this is a complete crock of crap. Sam and I have worked together on different projects and he's always been a totally cool guy to work with, VERY, VERY hard working and not dishonest. Like At. All. This guy is clearly stupid. He's been in the biz for like three years now, right? Something like that? How do you last that long if what this dude says is true. I think this guy is a moron with a shaky grasp of reality. That's just my opinion.

I have gotten to know Sam over the course of the past years at different meetups that we attend to discuss iPhone development. This is nonsense. It said I can't use stronger language so I won't. but I would like to. There's no way. He's a totally solid coder. He and I have tons of discussions about different stuff and different projects and this guy is completely full of it. I don't buy this for a minute. Yes, Sam is a friend of mine.

I don't know every last detail of this, other than what I know from reading this. But I find this to be utterly and completely unbelievable. I have known Sam Hicks for going on three years. Thousands of dollars have been exchanged between us (probably more like tens of thousands.) Out of all that money, he has never once not paid me. Not once. He has never been dishonest to me. He is a really solid guy and a really good developer (he's a graduate of the Computer Science program at UIUC, for heaven's sakes, we know the same people from that era, but didn't know each other.) I don't know who this guy, "Milesh Jain" is but this sounds ridiculous to the extreme. Sam does not con people. He never has and I should know because we have done business many times over the past three years. I totally trust him. Very solid guy.

Absolutely untrue, stay aware from Milesh Jain!

This is utterly and completely untrue. The true story is that my attorney contacted Mr. Jain at Ghabit, LLC at ghabit.com and asked for a long overdue payment: $1000. Mr. Jain refused and my attorney suggested that Mr. Jain simply take the source code and that we would call it even given that the cost of litigation was prohibitive. I never heard from Mr. Milesh Jain until now. This is a cowardice act. If he wished to contact us, he could have. He is overdue for $1000. We let it go and he apparently felt otherwise. I have never attempted to impugn his integrity. We simply let it go. Until now.
