July 5, 2017 10:50 a.m. I received a call on my cellphone from George with NR Associates (509)955-1891. He asked for me by name, I replied with "yes" then he read the last 4 digits of my social security number which violates the FDCPA (Federal Debt Collections Practices Act). Then he read me the mini-miranda (this is an attempt to collect a debt...) He told me I owe $140 to Money Tree/Cash One. I asked when this debt was from he said 2007. He asked how I would like to pay this. I asked his name again, he didn't give me a last name. All debt collectors use a first and last name to identify themselves, whether its an alias or not. I asked where he was located. He said they have offices everywhere. I asked for the address of the office he was working from, he refused to identify his location. I asked how he got my phone number he said its linked to my social security number. He asked if I was going to pay this or not. I said this was already paid, he became aggitated and said "Fine, thats all you had to say then I'll file this as a dispute". I said thank you for calling and he hung up on me.

I work for a collection company. I know the FDCPA and CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau). The company I work for takes great measures to follow all the laws and policies to protect consumers. I know that my phone number is not linked to my social security number. I know that when asked to give the address of the company you work for there should be no issue to give it out. A legitimate collection company takes all precations to keep their employees safe which means secured buildings and security clearances to enter. I attempted to find NR Associates online and came across many reports against the company. I filed a compliant with the CFPB and the FTC. I will continue to keep searching until I find answers. I want to know how they have any information about me.
