Advantage America IRS Taxpayer Rip Off Scan Winter Park Florida
I live in Port Orchard, Washington. About one hour ago I received a call from a man who told me I had been selected to receive a government grant in the amount of $12,500.
I was told according to U.S. Congressional Law the government required the IRS to set aside a portion of all tax monies paid for the purpose of providing this type of grant to taxpayers who had a record of paying their taxes on time, with no criminal record who had not filed bankruptcy within the past 6 months. Apparently this was a reward for being an upstanding citizen!
I asked him the name of his company and was told Advantage America. I then asked him to show me the law he was talking about by providing the number in the U.S.Code under which the law was written. He said he did not have the number but he knew the law and if I was sceptical he would transfer me to his verification department who would answer any questions I may have.
He assured me this call was being recorded and I could obtain a copy of the recording if I wished to do so. He then asked me if I had a checking account and what the number of my account was. Red Flag! Never give you personal information over the telephone to anyone!
I told him I did not have a bank account. He then asked me if I had a family member with an account and I told him I did but I couldn't give out that information without permission. He was very helpful and offered to conenct me with my family member via three way calling right on the spot! I explained I would rather contact my family member privately and I would call him back with the account number and I asked for his telephone number. He provided the number 866-503-7345. I suggested perhaps he should call me back in 1/2 hour if he didn't hear from me and he agreed to do this.
As I recently attended the National Grants Seminar in Seattle, Washington I was half way convinced this may actually be a legitimate grant. Just to be sure I got on the internet and researched this company which is how I found your website. Thank you everyone who posted messages!!! You saved me from being ripped off! Keep up the good work!
I have not received a return call from this company as of yet but I will be ready if I do.
