NTelos ripoff Horrible analog coverage outside of VA, Claim to have digital nationwide. Took my phones back and STILL they want $400 in early term fee Don't even think about doing business with these bankrupt bozos. Waynesboro Virginia
Unbelievable! I told these people that I needed coverage in all the Mid-Atlantic states and that I needed a plan that provide coverage in all these states. According to their literature, plans and maps, they have a digital PCS network in all the areas in which I work (VA, MD, DC, DE, PA, WV, etc). They even claim to have a nationwide plan.
What a joke.
2 weeks after getting the phone (a brand new Motorola V-60), I took it on a business trip to Washington DC and Baltimore Md. I had one lousy bar of ANALOG signal all over Washington DC! The Nation's Capital! The reception in Baltimore was even worse than DC. I couldn't even use the phone to call them to report the problem. Same story in Harrisburg PA.
The sales rep back at the store where I bought the phone told me that he had experienced crappy analog reception in Ohio and Baltimore himself. Even so, they asked me take the phone back up there to try it again with some of the settings changed.
I did. Still, a couple of tin cans and a string would have provided better reception. One crummy bar of worthless analog signal is the most I ever got.
So I took the phones back. They refunded me the purchase price of the phones. Now they want $400 in early termination fees and I don't even have the phones!
What a load of crap. Unless you never leave VA and live beneath one of their cell towers, don't even think about doing business with these bankrupt bozos.
