Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We subbmitted our film because the website said that SOME films will be showed in times sqaure. After research NYCIFF knowingly knew that they couldnt show because of constuction 2012 AND 2013 ( 2nd year excuse ).They said it will be so.It was not.And 2013 Danny Glover was to get an award , -he never showed up.NYCIFF and the egomaniac Mr Rizzo said Brad Pitt will show up for World War Z.None of these things happens. We came to see our film and was promoted as tribeca and was shown in a theatre that was filled with homeless people.Never again.SHAME on you NYCIFF,Paramount and all involved.

In reponse to the posting on your website:

We don't even know if the person writing this posting was even accepted to our festival since they did not write their name or their film's title. All of the information they stated could have easily been taken off our website. In order for a film to be shown in Times Square, a film has to be family friendly, ie: no offensive language or sexual content and must be reviewed by several board members and the Times Square Alliance who are not part of the film festival's selection. Below you will see an email sent to us by the Mayor's office.

In reference to Danny Glover and Brad Pitt:

Danny Glover was offered an award by Mist Theatre in Harlem and wanted us to promote this on our website. But at the last minute went to South Africa to support unions. Brad Pitt came on June 17th  to Times Square for the World War Z promotion. We built a stage on Sunday the 16th for the 17th which is why we couldn't show films in Times Square this year. We showed World War Z on June 19th.

As for homeless people in the seats at the theatre, we really don't understand what is meant by that statement. It is derogatory to assume that someone is homeless based on how they looked dress or look, etc. We charge $10-12 dollars per show and doubt that anyone who is homeless could afford to go or be allowed into the movie theatre.

These comments are very discriminatory and unethical assumptions. Please remove this posting from your website.

Referent to Times Square:

We never lie or mislead anybody we got an email from the City Of New York, see copy below

Subject: Times Square Plazas

Hi,

There will be construction going on at the Times Square plazas starting in July and running through beginning of January 2013.  If you requested to have events during this timeframe, please have a backup plan as you might not be able to have access to any of the Times Square plaza.  I will have more information about the construction and will update you.

Thanks.
