On Sunday, May 15, 2011 NYX cosmetics promise to hold their annual sale which consisted of all their products selling for $1.20 on the day of such sale, there servers conveniently crashed which in turn did not permit over 50,000 customers to participate in this sale at no fault of our own.
instead of fixing the website, or giving those who signed up to purchase products some kind of code that would allow them to participate on the sale as promised for 1.20, they offered a 50% discount code, that is not the same valued as the promised sale. from what it looks like, NYX pulled the oldest scam in the book, BAIT and SWITCH. they used false sales propaganda as the bait and have now tried to shove the 50% discount as their switch.
On top of all this upon check out several people reported that they were able to see others information instead of their own.
The company asked that we talk to them on facebook and leave our e-mail and information on their wall a very stupid move for them as anyone could have stolen the information. The costumer service rep would then have horrible attitude towards the people on the page and even challenging them to meet them in person.
