Below is an email sent to 10 different Oasis managers, directors etc. sent on March 20th 2009 after repeated attempts beginning January of 2008 to transfer My Timeshare Property. Mr. Paco Carrera had said he was responsible for all transfers and was going to take care of it himself. We never heard form him again, and would always get an excuse for why he was not available whenever we called to speak to him....yet, we could hear him in the background snickering. Karely attempted to be helpful but she was just covering for him as well.....The Below email was never responded to as were none of my emails sent to neither Karely or Paco

to Whomever it may Concern

I am contacting concerning one of your colleagues, Paco Carrera. We sent him the transfer documents for Membership # _ _ _ and paid $1500 which were outstanding on this account in order to complete the transfer. As you can see below Paco responded on January 9th acknowledging that he in fact received the transfer documents and he was going to inquire if it was necessary to create a new contract in order to transfer the ownership. That was almost 3 months ago. I have since then emailed Paco seven times, and he has not answered one email. I called his office in January (011-52-998-848-9999) and Spoke to Cecilia. She said Paco was in Spain and would be back the following week. I then Called Karely (011-52-998-848-9900) and she informed me that she cannot help with the transfer, Paco was the only person that could help. I sent Paco various emails which as usual he did not respond to ([email protected]; [email protected]) . Yesterday we called Paco's office and spoke to Cecilia once again who informed us that Paco is in Spain and will be back next week. That's interesting considering that when I called 2 months ago Cecilia told me the exact same thing.

So now we have a serious problem. We have our buyer who is upset because this transfer is taking too long and he just missed his 2009 Week at your resort because the transfer was not completed by Paco. We are upset because we are getting billed for the 2009 maintenance fees which we are not responsible for because this transfer was supposed to be completed months ago.by Paco. Paco apparently doesn't care about this transfer and is either too busy in Spain, or is having his co-workers cover up for him because he doesn't know how to complete this transfer. So my question to you is, if in fact Paco has been in Spain for 3 months, who is doing his job? And why hasn't Cecilia put us in contact with someone that can complete this transfer in his absence? This is not a very good impression for your new owners which so far have not had a great experience with your companyand they haven't even been to your resort yet.

Timeshare Scam

Most timeshare companies are taking advantage of people, often those who are more vulnerable and less able to resist hard sales tactics. I have heard of many cases where maintenance costs rise well above inflation. It would appear the timeshare companies lock people into contracts and then drive up their profits though increased maintenance charges. It would be good to see legislation whereby timeshare companies can only charge "reasonable" maintenance costs and not use this annual fee to fleece people's bank accounts. I do not own a timeshare, never have and never will unless legislation is introduced to protect buyers. There is a good article on how to get out: http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/206-how-to-get-out-of-a-timeshare/
