Ocean Reef Resort Ocean Reef Resort and Yacht Club Scammed by workers for timeshare program. Lied to about programs Freeport
Both me and my mother were approached by a person in a different resort stating that there was a free breakfast at a resort. It was not a timeshare or any sales, just that they wanted us to look around and maybe stay there the next time we were in Bahamas.
We went to the Resort and stayed for over 5 hours. It was a timeshare program. Even though I kept saying no and I need to go, they kept us there. After 5 hours and a headache, I was not feeling well. I finally agreed and signed their papers.
After going back to our hotel, I read ALL the papers. They lied to me about so many things! They lied to me about the fees charged everytime I would use the program. They lied to me about the point system. They lied to me about the share in Llodsshare. They told me Llodsshare was a bank related to the one in England and had a presense in the US. I found out that it was in Mexico and had no presense in the US. I was promised "20 bonus weeks", and no where in my contract does it state that.
Now that they have my credit card number I am afraid that they will charge me "closing fees". I tried cancelling the program, but they keep saying that they did not receive my paperwork. I'm at my wits end! These people must be stopped from praying on other people like this and lying to them outright!
There must be some sort of regulations that will allow people to go home and read the information as it is overwhelming and then to sign the agreement. This is so wrong! How can they get away with this?
