Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I received a check from Ocwen in the amount of (600.00) my January payment, and a letter stating my loan was in default. I rec'd no prior notice, although the correspondence says I did. This has become tedious. Now I have to be "reinstated"!.

The monthly amount is killing my finances, and I only rec'd one statement in one (1) year.

Maryln, Almost the same thing has happened to me. I am without a home after 18 years. I'm sorry everyone, but after all of our letters and meetings with senators and phone calls, something should have gotten attention. I think there's something more to this whole thing...like maybe some sort of cover-up? I for one am not going to give up or give in. Here's hoping that all of you feel the same way!

They sent any notification to say there was going to be a Sheriff Sale to some other address. In addition, they kept my payments, (which went up to 600.00 a month instead of the 358.00 original payment), and stole my home from under me. When I realized what was going on ,and tried to contact them, I got conflicting email, and the REO officer "Chantal" was so verbally abusive, I became stunned. To add fuel to the fire, they have listed my credit report as a repossesion for none, payment, for twice the amount of the actual loan. I pray to God that somehow I will get restitution for the pain. They are unfeeling, slick, despicable, and consumate rip-off artist. After 19 years in the same home, I suddenly found myself looking for a place to live. I did not have the chance to even file bankruptcy as a means to and end for saving my home. They used something called "forebearance". I should have not trusted this plan, and found another way of refinancing the balance due, but they greatly exaggerated the amount of the original loan.

We all need help sometime, I understand this. However you mentioned you only get one statement a year. You know your monthly payment is due monthly. I don't mean to be crass, because I too have been a victim of Ocwen and my mortg. is with them. But, I know when my payment is due and where to send it EACH month. You need to take some responsibility yourself. Granted, Ocwen has ripped many people off and they are BAD to the bone, but you really can't fault them THIS time because you don't send in your payment on time. You don't have to have a statement to send in a payment, that is what they and everyone else will tell you. You can also do the phone debit system that Ocwen has. You really don't have an excuse to blame them, this time.
