Regarding the Office of Thrift Supervision

#2Consumer Comment

Tue, February 04, 2003

In regards to the Office of Thrift Supervision ..I contacted them with my delimea regarding Ocwen Federal....I sent everything to them in writing.....they sent me a letter stating they would be back in contact with me in response to my complaints with in 30 days.......well it took them a year to get back with me.....A year.....I beleive The Office of Thrift Supervision is involved in all of this and they need to be investigated along with all the other scum........Oh the money they are making........off of the weak.....and I beleive HUD is involved in this somehow also, am just not sure of all the links just at this point.....the safest way to handle this is to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and public exposure......the media can be a great tool at this point.....I too am fighting a forclosure at this very moment and am not sure how it will turn out....getting it tied up in litigation until they expose the predatory lending practices of HUD, Ocwen, Fairbanks Capital, and the Office of Thrift Supervision is the only hope....Good Luck and may God Bless!!!

The owners are the Erbey brothers, William and Richard. These men are in their late 50's and early 60s.

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Judy Turner Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion Rebuttal: OCWEN Federal Bank FSB was formerly known as Berkeley Bank. They have only one brick & mortar actual bank and that one is located in a low value neighborhood in New Jersey. Their headquarters are located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The owners are the Erbey brothers, William and Richard. These men are in their late 50's and early 60s. One of the brothers has a law degree from Vanderbilt back in the 1950's. I hope this answers your questions. Yes, I agree that OCWEN has a huge number of people that want to sue them. We filed a class-action suit against them last year, but were denied class status. Our evidence holds up, but different people listed different complaints. I think we should have certified as a classs, but I'm not the judge. We hope more people file in other states and we are not giving up, either. Oddly enough, this company is proud of their mortgage software they sell as the OTX Co.

Rebuttal:
I beleive that this company must be removed from the united states. They have been forced out of Europe I understand. Has anyone contacted the United States Tresuary dept.?? I am doing that today. Along with a letter and information to the FBI, financial dept. They ivestigate such things. The over-seer is located in New Jer. call 411 and inq. for # for " thrift supervision, n.j.' I do have the telephone # but not at the
location I am typing from.

If through this site, we could mass email, to the justice dept. our concerns with a request for investigation, then locate USA Today editors, with our stories, along with 48 hours and the television news. Ocwen would be slamed.

Kindly email with desires, I intend to have the companies who hire Ocwen and Ocwen removed from the banking industry. One last suggestion, a possible need to locate who actually owns this business. Should anyone know let everyone know so we can file against in class act. Check, and see if Ocwen is a service agent, or actual owner of your home. If they are that acting agent, contact your original holder. ie; Chasemanhatten.
Report and complain, lets deal now.
