Olympus Servicing LP is a scam. My mortgage has been serviced through their company since January 1, 2001. They sold my Mortgage to Ocwen Federal Bank as of November 1, 2002. Olympus was suppose to pay my 2001 taxes in two installment and on my payment statement it states where they said they disbursed two, even though they were for much smaller amounts. But even that, I called the Cook County Collector's office and continued to receive delinquent tax bills and no payments have been made.

I have called Olympus tax department at least 30 times in the last 4 weeks and faxed letter and delinquent bills over and over again and I have not received any results. I called the new mortgage company and they decided to pay my property taxes because my building was going to be put in the paper for sale.

I still have not gotten my escrow money from Olympus and when I call them to ask about how I can get my money, they hang up the phone or pretend that the person that I have asked to speak to is at a meeting or out to lunch. I have spoken to Eric Viscarra, who is suppose to be the supervise in the TAx department and he keeps saying he is going to call me back or that the research department is still doing research to try and find out where my escrow money is or that there computers are down at the time.

They owe me $3,772.22 for escrow. They sent me money back with an annual escrow statement in which that money should have been for my taxes and the remainder that claimed they have paid. The new companyn today gave me a check number and the date that they finally paid it for me but now I am stuck with reimbursing them the money in which I should have had escrow to pay my taxes so that leave me with a negative balance in my escrow account with Ocwen. So now possible my Mortbgage will go up. I do get my $3,772.22 from Olympus?

Your New Company IS Responsible

Just a note, as a real estate professional, and having been through this many times myself, your new loan company takes on the responsibilities and all escrow money should be transfered to them, not mailed to you. This is part of loan servicing. You should receive an accounting from both companies at least twice a year with your escrow figures and payments out. Try contacting the AG's office in your area or a good real estate attorney who should be able to assist you. If you can't find anyone, I've used a pre-paid legal company to write letters for me. I've had Olympus too and they stink at this, but time and persistence will work, make sure you put the burden on your new mortgage servicer And GOOD LUCK!
