This company is unbelievable!! One Stop Motors is a prime example of BAD business. As many unsatisfied clients have already stated One Stop Motors has no vested interest in selling your car. In reality, they do not "sell cars," so that is to be expected. However, they do advertise cars and that is what a client pays for. The package is $500.00 but the crazy part is it only costs One Stop Motors maybe $150.00 to actually advertise a vehicle. Now, out of that $500.00 One Stop Motors pays the individual who helps you purchase your package. This is where the rip off extends past the consumers to the "employees" of One Stop Motors who are referred to as "independent contractors," for tax purposes.

These individuals are just doing their job so don't be mad at them. These are hard working people who spend a lot of time and effort to earn business for a company that has an increasingly bad reputation. Furthermore, they work in an unsanitary and stressful work environment. People are lied to, the company is misrepresented, and deals are stolen or given away because the main objective for One Stop Motors is securing a credit card with 500.00, not quality assurance. The "employees" receive little pay for the time they invest and are often forced to pay high tax amounts at the end of the year due to the "independent contractor" status they claim. Even the "employees" who make a lot of money are unhappy! Not to mention the several thousand ex-employees who never have anything positive to say about One Stop Motors and the way they do business.

This report is not only for the people researching One Stop Motors to make an informed decision about listing with them, but I'm talking to all the "employees" at One Stop Motors. Guys, you don't have to put up with minimal pay that is constantly decreasing, bad work conditions, and an owner who is too greedy to deliver. Rob Wilder is not the one who decides what an independent contractor is. The IRS does. At the end of the year I'm filing as an employee cause that's how we are treated! I got out and you can to. If you can sell for One Stop Motors you can sell anything!!! Best Wishes to everyone!

Natalie, those independent contractor agreements are illegal!

Natalie, The entire "One Stop Motors" thing is a scam from top to bottom. They offer no real service to anyone but themselves. Period. And, you ARE NOT an independent contractor. Just because you sign an independent contractor agreement, does not make you one legally. In order to be an independent contractor you must have a real investment in the business other than your time and be able to suffer loss of investment in real money. And, you must be able to offer your services to others. Is this the case? I think not. Also, if they impose work rules or schedules on you, you are an employee. If they give you anything to do your work, you are an employee. You ARE NOT an independent contractor. You ARE an employee, by legal definition. They call you an independent contractor so they do not have to pay unemployment insurance, workmans comp insurance, and match your SS contribution. Don't believe me? Here's how you prove it. Go to the local IRS office, or go to the IRS website and get the form: "SS-8, Determination of worker status". Fill it out, keep a copy and mail it in. I can GUARANTEE you that a determination will come back that you are/were an EMPLOYEE of One Stop Motors. Help stop these scammers and criminals. Do not contribute to or enable this scam.
