I would like to thank Danny and Nikki for bringing to my attention that OnRebate.Com is one of the biggest scams going in the rebate processing sector.

Here is a classic example of the "read the fine print" that cost me $20. Please don't let yourself get caught up with their easy 5-Step rebate process these "fine upstanding" business people sell you.

I purchased a CPU & Memory from TigerDirect. I received my items, cut out the UPC, made a photocopy of the purchase receipt, filled out the rebate form, etc.

Most people don't read the small print, but I wish I did now. Step 1 has a conditional clause that talks about a single rebate form being put in a single envelope, even though both of my rebates were being sent to the same exact address.

There is not one reference on the completed rebate form (Step 4)that you must submit the rebate in a "single" envelope. Typically the rules of the game are supposed to be on the form that you submit but not for this company, they get you back in Step 1.

So let me get this straight, I managed to use a credit card to make the internet purchase, log onto the internet and share with the world all the necessary info to get the rebate moving along, use a scissors to cut the UPC code off (without injury), fill out the form using proper english, find an envelope, and track down a postage stamp.... but when two rebates are in the same envelope... rebate denied!

My hat is off to you "Fred" in the motherboard rebate department who could not get off his lazy rear and walk down to "Susie" in the memory rebate department to process my $20 rebate. This would have been the procedure if it was my company, because I know what it takes to keep a valued customer happy in this very competitive industry.

Customer Service is lacking here at OnRebate. As for you Danny in customer service, who laughed in my ear on the phone when I asked to speak with the supervisor on duty after pleading my case, may you find yourself unemployed someday and come across my company for a job I'll be sure to add a few good words for the HR department on your behalf. Oh, as for you Nikki, see above comments left for Danny.

Last, but not least, I applaude all you fine folks who have submitted rebates and offered your comments. I SHOULD HAVE read these comments prior to buying from TigerDirect. My lesson has been learned.

TigerDirect & OnRebate ~ you're on a predefined course that over time will sort out. All I ask is you keep your catalogs out of my mailbox & email inbox for I am busy shopping at the competition!

I feel much better now... almost worth the $20 stolen from me.
