OnRebate.Com rebate ripoff I'm Still Waiting for the InFamous Rebate Check Akron Ohio
I've waited for the alloted time of 8-10. The orginal rebate approval was 8-8-06. It is now the first week of November and no sign of a check. I've made several contact with OnRebate.Com
Here is the following account of those transactions.
Phone Contact with On-Rebate.COM
10-24-06 Made First Contact (They Acknowledged this Call)
10-30-06 5:16 PM On Hold for 44 minutes. A make picked up and said Thank You for calling on rebates.com are systems are down, please call back at a later date..Thank You _ Hung up On
10-31-06 9:30- 9:38 Talked with Shawn- would not give a last name- Says that the call center had received my message- That the check had to be Released It should be released on 11-3-06 and I should receive it on 11-10-06
This is the second website that has list and list of complaints by OnRebate.Com. I think is extremly poor business when you get hung up on because it's quitting time and they didn't have the guts to tell you they couldn't help you to begin with, or use the line it will be in the mail next week. I will personnaly never ever ever ever use a rebate system again. Tiger Direct is at fault, OnRebate.Com is at fault and Acer should be held resposnsible for terrible business practices. I've learned a valuable lesson and that you get what you pay for. Save yourself the aggrevation and do not use this company.

In all Fairness to Onrebate.com. I finally got paid. It wasn't quite the 8-10 weeks like promised (99 days), but I was rewarded my check. I guess being persistance and consistant paid off.

I have contacted with the Federal Trade Commission, the Florida Attorney General, the local better business bureau and the Palm Beach County Consumer affairs office. Every agency has said NOBODY has complained about OnRebate before me. How is this possible? I encourage everyone with a problem to fill out this on-line form. We cannot post links so here is enough of the web address to find the forms. Follow the instructions and be prepared to wait a month before they contact you. I filled it out 3 or 4 times over the course of a month before they contacted me. sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
