I complied with all required actions in order to qualify for the $70 rebate that was offered for an LCD monitor I ordered from Tiger Direct, who processes their rebates through OnRebate.com.

I received an e-mail on October 27, 2005 stating that my rebate check had been issued. Customer service at OnRebate.com says that one should allow 8-10 weeks to receive rebates, and so it was not until January 2006 that I began to wonder what the status of my rebate check was, as I had yet to receive it. I contacted OnRebate.com once via e-mail and received no reply. I contacted them a second time and was sent a brief e-mail in response stating that my rebate check was cashed on December 2, 2005. However, the reason I was contacting the company was that I had never received the check. I attempted to contact them again to ask if they had any further information about where the check was cashed and by which bank, or if they had received the check back, but I received no further responses to my emails. I called multiple times throughout this period and all of my telephone calls to the company went unanswered; I would remain on hold for hours waiting for a representative to pick up.

I never received my rebate check and I believe that if it was in fact cashed, it was cashed fraudulently. I have no way to further investigate this matter without the support of OnRebate.com. I contacted Tiger Direct to ask for their assistance due to the fact that their rebate partner was so unresponsive. They simply told me that they guarantee all of their rebates, and that if I filed a claim with them, they would honor the rebate. However, although I could prove that I complied with all necessary actions to qualify for the rebate, my claim was still denied because I had sent the UPC code for the product to OnRebate.com, naturally.

In summary, I received no help on this matter from either OnRebate.com or TigerDirect, and therefore I have lost $70 on a monitor that I may not otherwise have purchased had a rebate not been available.

Dear Scammed Soul, I too am struggling with TigerDirect to give attention to a rebate that was denied (illegally) by inphonic rebatestatus.com for a purchase I made. When I called them, the cust serv person referred me to Victoria and to fax all of my information proving my claim (I hope you kept copies and proof of sending the rebate) to her. The fax number is: 305-415-2924 While I have not heard a response yet, (they are backlogged with complaints and rebate refunds). It can't hurt to send her your paperwork. good luck. ----- "Inphonics is the Antichrist and Tigerdirect is their B#*ch."
