Complaint Review: Ooo La La Salon & Spa - Aliso Viejo California

MAY 2009 We were finally called by someone regarding this claim - not the client but the clients grossly uninformed husband Eric Farmer, who claims to work for an attourneys office in California. (*** see below. In fact he works part time for a vacation resort booking agency) This is how the conversation went where he (very angrily) said that Phrizbie Design is in 'grave danger of being sued for SLANDER AND EXTORTION'. We were told that from his legal position at an office in California that he would "come after Phrizbie for millions of dollars for extortion" for taking down their unpaid website with a notice saying it has not been paid for & writing that Sandy claimed she had cancer when in fact all she claimed was a very bad mystery illness that put her in the hospital, despite being owed money by them still, if we did not remove these posts. When I asked to go over the original estimate and emails, it was clear he didnt have them, and I had to email them to him. Instantly it became apparent that he had NEVER EVEN SEEN an original estimate, he didnt know the prices of what his wife had secured us for, and he had never read a single email between Phrizbie and Ooo La La. He was unaware of the clear 50% deposit, 50% upon completion rule to all our business. This is the entire problem right there. Period. Finally when it was obvious he could no longer argue the point that their bill was paid due to the clear email his wife sent in full agreement of the bill to be paid, he yelled "I dont care how much money we owe you! I'm coming after you for millions of dollars" for (all of these are quotes) "blasting this report to millions of people across the internet" and ruining his wife's "good name". After for the first time being shown the emails between Phrizbie and his wife, and having no way to argue the bill had been paid anymore - he tried to say "Well that price is a little high dont you think? I think that is expensive!" And even further tried to say the prices for card printing were not clear when showed a detailed email outlining prices they OPTED INTO - when we have in writing a confirmation from the client, his wife Sandy Framer - saying she would pay the bill in full. The above posts claim every single incorrect amount. There are clear credit card statements for amounts and deposits CLEARLY in writing, it's shocking that the people who owe the money dont even know what they paid in the first place. (Further details of the full conversation below **) (***) This man does try to sue people and files as non legal representation "pro per". With very little investigation my legal representation was able to find out NUMEROUS legal problems this "team" is into - Simply visit the http://www.occourts.org/ Superior Court of Orange County for verification. To not have reviewed documents related to this claim is ignorant. To threaten legal action when it is you that is in the wrong is absurd. To claim a "good name" is being ruined, you need one to begin with. He didnt know the price of ANY item in dispute. How someone can argue that they paid their bill without even knowing the prices is kind of hilarious. Finally it came down to one final point on his end after exhausting all other avenues of argument, that Sandy did not say unequivocally that it was cancer per say - since it was only implied by whispering that she was "very sick" in the hospital, and unable to pay the bill... we were in the wrong for posting this particular word online. He went on to outrageously tell me that she herself had called us to say she had a dr appt & needed antibiotics and that was all that was ever said. Why would that be any sort of legitimate excuse for not being able to pay a bill??? This is simply 100% not true. He also admitted to anonymously (with a fake name and city) posting claims about this issue on this website, despite not having ANY of his facts or figures in order. (complete with all kinds of grammar and spelling errors) He quoted prices that were completely abstract and not related to anything ever quoted or in writing anywhere. He also told me it is illegal to speak to anyone regarding this matter!!! And if I did he would sue me for that too. He also said that Phrizbie was "angry for not being chosen as their website designer" which is absurd to say the LEAST. We have luxury spa clients all over the world inlcuding Fortune 500 companies and mega accounts like Cover Girl. This tiny little hair salon in california is not a valued client project. It's just not right what they did and should not be allowed to get away with it. We've never had a problem with a client in over 12 yrs. Anyone is free to contact any of the hundreds/thousands of clients shown on our website anytime. We have perfect relations with ALL our clients, I can confidently and absolutely say.

To update this report, Phrizbie Design was incorrect to report the owner of Ooo La La was sick or had cancer. This was our mistake and in fact specifically "cancer" had not been mentioned to us. We thought it was implied but that was not the case.

SHAME, Shame on the owner of Phrizbie-Desgn.com Gillian Riley for even publishing such a false shameful report on Ooolalasalonspa.com, how utterly preposterous to claim someone has Cancer to get out of paying a bill. Karma has a very interesting of coming around and it would not be surprising if Gillian actually succumbs to that same fate. The actual truth of the matter is Gillian told me "Sandy Farmer" that our logo design, business card cost and static web page would cost a total of $700.00 I paid her $575.00 on 10/15/2008 by credit card for the logo design and business cards. Now here come's the "Bait N Switch" after receiving my $575.00 Gillian than tells me it is going to be $1,200.00 for her static web page package I told her we are a new business and that we were going to have to wait on any additional things other then what we have already paid for! Gillian stated to me "pay the bill or you going to be sorry" Gillian says I know people in the Internet industry and they can make your life very miserable. I told her how ridiculous I have already given you $575.00 and would have to wait until the Salon started making some money. Gillian started an all out smear campaign of my companies good name and my name all over the internet. I think she is good friends or her husband runs the Internet Domatic.com service or something like that. I refuse to give in to her black mail and am meeting with my attorney and the District Attorney here in California today to start seeking action this Gillian Riley and Phrizbie-Design.com of Kennebunkport Maine. If you should have any similar business dealings with this rip-off company Phrizbie-design.com Gillian Riley, please contact me directly Sandy Farmer @ 949-228-2643 to be added to the lawsuit.
