DON'T buy a Lubrico warranty.  I purchased a lubrico warranty at the same time as I purchased my ford windstar (used).  The van had 147, 000 Km on the odometer.  over the years, I had regular maintenance done every 7000 to 8000km.  The van was in excellent running order and condition.  2 Months prior to the warranty expiration, without warning, the transmission failed at a major intersection in Toronto.  My mechanic said it was the transmission.   He said he would not deal with Lubrico.  I phoned Lubrico and they told me to tow it to one of their authorised transmission shops.  That shop confirmed transmission failure.  Lubrico wanted copies of my vehicle service receipts whic I provided.  They denied the claim saying my maintenane dates exceeded their 6 month warranty requirment for servicing.  However they require maintenace every 10, 0000 Km.  Since my purchase, I have put a total of 22, 000 Km on the van.   Our winters are so bad, I park the vehicle for the winter months.  I am retired.   This is a warning to all SENIORS.  With Lubrico, they will use the 6 month service clause regardless of your van maintenance to avoid paying a claim.  if you go away for the winter or just take your vehicle off the road, the warranty is void.  I will never purchase another warranty from Lubrico.    I never made a claim.  My van was well maintained.   This company, won't honor their warranty even on a van that only had 22, 000 km added to the odometer,, since purchased by a retired person.  Disgraceful.
