OUR 1997 CHEVY VENTURE BROKE DOWN ON INTERSTATE 95, SO WE HAD IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST PLACE TO FIX WHICH WAS PALM BAY CHEVROLET. INITIALLY THEY QUOTED US A PRICE OF $125.00 TO LOOK AT AND THAT WOULD COME OFF THE PRICE TO HAVE FIXED.
THE NEXT DAY THEY CALLED US BACK AND SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE OIL PAN TO SEE THE PROBLEM AND NOW IT WOULD BE $450.00. SO WE ASSUMED THAT WAS GOING TO BE THE PRICE OF HAVING THE VAN FIXED AND SAID OK. WE WERE NOT GIVEN A WRITTEN DESCRIPTION OF ANYTHING.
A WEEK LATER WE GET A PHONE CALL SAYING THAT IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR AND THE ESTIMATED PRICE IS NOW 5,000.00 WHICH WE DEFINITELY DO NOT HAVE, BUT UNDER PRESSURE MY BOYFRIEND TELLS THEM I GUESS WE HAVE NO CHOICE. WHEN HE COMES HOME AND TELLS ME I CALL THEM BACK AND TELL THEM TO FORGET IT. WE CAN NOT AFFORD IT THEY SAY OK.
THE NEXT DAY THEY CALL MY BOYFRIEND AND TELL HIM THAT SINCE THEY ORDERED THE MOTOR HE NOW HAD TO PAY SHIPPING OF $200.00. I CAN NOT BELIEVE ANYBODY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS. BOTTOM LINE I HAD TO GO DOWN AND WRITE THEM A CHECK OF 747.30 OR NOW THEY ARE GOING TO START CHARGING US STORAGE FEES.
THE VAN IS LEAVING THE LOT THE EXACT SAME WAY IT WENT IN AT 747.00 LATER AND NOW WE REALLY CANT AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED. I HOPE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE. NOTHING WAS EVER IN WRITING OR ANYTHING AND THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH THIS BECAUSE WE HAD NO CHOICE.

I recently learned that the dealership has been closed down by the government. I learned that the owner Jim Rathmann has done illegal activity at the dealership . He did not pay off trade in after custome cars traded in that car for a new 1 .I now see that it is good I did not buy a car from them. I did buy oil filters for my cavalier but had to take it in to get the heater unit repaired. ( the car was still under warranty ) .

I learned that the dealership has closed down. I have done business with them in the past. I bought my oilfilters for my 2003 cavalier from them but I went to Rapid lube and they changed the oil for me. I would bring my own oil and filter. I was going to buy a car from them at 1 time . I wanted to trade in my cavalier for a monte carlo. I got the call from Palm Bay Chevrolet the next morning saying I was approved. I told them I would be up to get the Monte Carlo .When I got there I was told they could not get me in the monte carlo but in a 2005 malibu for $450 a month my reply was "No Sale No Deal" and I left
