Charged 490.70 from a tanning salon for months I haven't tanned at all. They say they have a clause but it is hidden and only the employee can see the screen showing clause to continually debit account. Customer's are mislead by thinking they are answersing typical skin type questions and then coerced into a "LIFETIME" membership allowing the company to draft the amount they choose. Consumers are not informed when you tell them you are finished tanning for the season that you must sign to cancel the draft (this is in small print on the form they never show you before you sign electronically). The scam comes in when the employee fails to tell you(once you have told them you will not be tanning and won't use the package anymore). I stopped tanning in July 2014 and told the employee I was done tanning and I would purchase another package in spring of 2015. The lady who was amazingly nice said yes it's that time of year when it's too hot to tan. (This is the part where Palm Beach is responsible to have their employees take proper steps to inform/ educate and ensure all steps are taken to stop charging accounts and ask for the customers signature on the infamous form they say allows them to draft any amount they choose because you signed an electronic form you never saw and were uneducated on.... So.... PBT drafted me again when I understood that I cancelled it. It caused me an overdraft fee and was returned because I didn't prepare for that 73.45 expense that month. I went into Palm Beach Tan and asked why they were still charging me. The employee then said you have to sign to stop the draft. I asked to sign to cancel and explained that I should have been told the month prior. The store refused to let me sign to cancel unless I paid them 73.45 for the month I never stepped foot in the salon and it didn't matter to them that it was an employee error. I refused to pay for that month because I had been a premier customer spending 100's of dollars on products while I tanned there and was mislead. I have called 3 to 4 times. Been in the store 5 times asking to cancel and emailed the corporate office in Texas twice. I've filed a dispute with my bank and PBT is still throwing up their little Clause and running drafts through my account. Decatur Alabama
