Rosa, i just cant believe it. But it should be no surprise. Trying to fight this 900# gorilla was not fun for me. I was sent the wrong plates by the California DMV (what a bunch of idiots). I shouls have checked them against my registration as well. NEVER trust any of these agencies. I am so sorry that you are a VICTIM of this City of Angels (LOL). If by all means you are telling the absolute truth (and i am not saying you are a liar)... GO... FIGHT... WIN! Do not let these scum bags get the best of you. Keep in mind we now have a Mayor who listens, not like the past DONKEY (Jim Hahn). I also consider you to contact his office downtown and tell him to sever the contract with the collection agency. Remember, the issuing officer works for the city while your payment and payment notices are done by an un-accountable collection agency the does not give a dam about anything or anyone. As you may have noticed, their practices are so ABSURD, when you go to one of the counter windows where you can pay your ticket, you will obviously notice that they are scum bags because they have to hide their employees behind glass windows. You can just imaginw why. BY I ENCOURAGE YOU TO KEEP UP THE FIGHT AS I DID. It took me many months to clear the honest but nearly unaccountable mistake by the DMV, which by the way has an enormous communication problem with the other agencies like the PVB (PArking Violations Bur). I was not going to give this corrupt city a f'n dime of mine for no good reason. It cost me much more in time then the ticket was worth, and they know it. One suggested that i just pay it... but i had no intentions what so ever since i was not at fault. DONT GIVE UP IF YOUR STORY IS TRUE. File a complaint with the Citys Employee Union as well against the so called parking officer. You can get the name off the ticket and the officers serial number when you request a copy of the ticket from the PVB, which by the way you are entitled too. Oh and by the way Marylinn... the first red notices are now a mellow blue, i got another ticket for not having my tags on the truck and gladly paid the $25.00 and put the fake plates back on (i got caught off guard, shame on me when i had a chance to have some fun).

Rosa, Join the club with tens of thousands of others. First, I suggest you place the word "Parking" in the search box. All reports filed on parking citation problems will then come up. And there are lots and lots out of Los Angeles (Yours is the second to last one showing.) Scroll down and read the the information contained in Richard's report from Mission Hills. The last entry was made on 2/24/05. There's lots of information in that report specifically pertaining to the Los Angeles parking citation racket. The dipshit that wrote the fraudulent ticket is a City of Los Angeles employee, trained by the LA Dept.of Transportation, whereas the Parking Violations Bureau is a privately contracted company. Call the PVB and demand a copy of the ticket info be mailed to you. It'll show not only the parking "officer's" name, but all details which is required to show your vehicle's VIN number. Obviously, the dishonest "officer" could not have obtained that info. There are a few LA troubleshooters that have solved problems for people who have been issued fraudulent tickets. I suggest after you get the detailed information from the ticket itself, that you call one of these 3 people. Patricia Cunningham (213)485-4783 Max Reyes (213)847-0522 Judith O'Conner (213) 487-0281 They are all employed by the LA Dept of Transportation, and have been most helpful to others. Explain your problem and the circumstances that you wrote in this ripoff report. And good luck.
