Utterly unprofessional, full of lies and excuses, blames everyone else for her failures to inspect, fix, or otherwise ensure habitability. The apartment we rented (she is the property mis-manager, not the owner) was FILTHY: stove and oven caked with grease, filthy, stained toilet, stained tub, heat registers clogged with years' worth of pet hair, dust, and debris...leaking washing machine, piles of filth and debris in utility room, filthy windows, damaged screens, paint spilled and spattered all over floors and hardware...disgusting. Doors that don't close, closet doors not installed (just leaning up against open space), paint job that looks as though it was done by a drunk, or a five year old...Hole in cabinet floor, leaks in plumbing, sink not fastened down and moving in the counter top, ruined floor in dining area due to overflowed washing machine... We had to beg for a copy of our lease, as others have also reported. She has given us so many lies, excuses, and conflicting stories, our heads are spinning. She is defensive and dishonest. Clearly, she inspects nothing when former tenants vacate, and it's obvious not one red cent of former tenants' damage deposits are used to clean anything. Avoid this woman and her shoddy business practices like the plague. If you are desperate enough to rent from her, record every conversation. Get every promise in writing. Do not pay one penny of rent or deposit until any and all issues fixed. Do not let her coerce you into signing the lease in any location other than the space you want to rent. Take pictures of everything, document everything, inspect everything. Bring a flashlight and camera, and stick your nose into every corner. Open and close every drawer, cabinet, door, and window. Check every appliance to ensure they work. And report her to the Commissioner of Securities in St. Paul, MN, for any infraction. Every REPUTABLE property manager/realtor in the county knows her by name, and her reputation is terrible.
