Patty Martin EBAY FINANCING CENTER AGENT---SCAM!!! Pensacola Florida
My boyfriend found a Yamaha R1 motorcylce for sale for $3900, from a lady named Patty Martini who was going through a divorce and won the bike in the settlement because it was in her name. He emailed her and said he was interested and asked if he could call her. She never gave a phone number, but sent a legit email thanking him for his interest and giving him more info on the bike. She also stated that in order for both of them to be 100% covered, she would only take payment through eBays payment protection program through the Ebay financing center. Everything looked ok until he received an email from the so called eBay financing center, and it stated that my boyfriend should send a money gram for $3900 to his eBay finance center agent Carl Harrelson (who was assigned to him immediatley after he expressed his interest). In my experience its an automatic red flag when a business asks for money to be sent to an individual, rather than the business. So I looked up her name, the agents name and even went to the eBay financing center website and it still looked ok. So then I came to ripoff, which has always been helpful, and looked up "eBay financing center and found a case that had the EXACT verbiage that my boyfriend was sent! PLEASE BEWARE!!!
