Hired him to do some database work. This creature is CRAZY. He started off by constantly showing me how stupid I was and how smart he was. I tried to tell him that I hired him because of his knowledge, not because I was stupid. I explained that just because I never studied SQL does not mean I am stupid. He would not let up, he kept ranting like a lunatic.

He kept reminding me how he's an expert in Karate and the martial arts. I quess he know people just want to punch him, so he warns them that he knows karate. Then he constantly tells them how stupid they are and how smart he is. Just a real psycho.

I agree with John that Paul is simply awesome.

Whoever this joegrant87 is has an axe to grind with everyone he has ever worked for.  I think the whole thing he wrote about Paul is a lie.  He wrote a lot of bull about other people on Ripoff Report.

I hired Paul de Prado for a short time.  It would have been a long time, but he fixed all our problems so quickly that we no longer had work for him!

We were having a problem with our web site because the opening page took 5 minutes to appear.  Our team and our customers would cringe when they tried to use our website for anything.  Paul just logged on to my computer, talked to the IT guys and boom!  Now the first page and its report take a split-second.  No more waiting.  No more complaints from the team!

I hired him to fix everything else that was slow.  He cracked a joke about getting his tuning fork out for the piano.  Then he fixed every single report!  He surprised me when he showed me that some of my reports were calculating incorrectly.

I wish I had more work for Paul, but frankly he works on bigger projects nowadays.  My group is focused on scientific research and Paul is all about sales analytics and web site speed.

Still, I want to set the record straight because Paul treated us so well.  Joegrant87 is probably just someone who wishes he could get the jobs Paul does.  Hey joegrant87!  Stop messing around with this guy!

I never met the complainer, but I see what Paul means.  Do a Google search on JoeGrant87 and all these RipoffReport.com reports show up.  JoeGrant87 makes a lot of whiny, hysterical complaints.

I want to attest to Paul's work ethic, good manners, quality work and sensibility.

Paul worked for me several years ago because I had problems with the software a former employee built.  He was brought on my team by recommendation of my colleague in publishing.  Back then Paul was an IT guy, but he acted like a consultant anyway.  My colleague told me Paul cleaned up bad software in his division's web site that kept reporting bad figures to Wall Street.  I was desperate for good help, so I asked his IT manager to help me.  The IT manager did not want to share him with me, so I went to the CIO who kindly pulled Paul out for me.

Paul started by asking me where my pain was.  He always does this.  No technical talk, no loser attitude, but just total win-win talk came out of Paul.  He asked a lot of probing questions about why the software was needed for the business and how it added value.  I explained that it was supposed to do so much more than it did.  Paul understood what I needed.  He asked my permission to speak with everyone on the business team to make sure our needs were fully understood.

About two weeks later, Paul came back with a business requirements document.  He asked me to review it and sign off on it.  I had seen these documents before, but only from high-priced consulting outfits.  Paul nailed it!  I will never forget that.  Then he went off and assembled a team of IT guys.  I think it took him 6 weeks, but he came back with the prototype for what became our company's first real data warehouse.  It took care of everything we wanted and gave us analysis that used to take weeks on the AS400.  Then he trained EVERYBODY in the business unit.  He made sure we had coffee, tea and danishes while he did the training.  When people are comfortable, I think they pay more attention to training.  Paul was entertaining and even funny.  I never even heard a tech word in all his presentations and training sessions since then.  Our support calls were handled by Paul personally.  NOBODY in all 7 teams had anything negative to say about Paul.  All I heard were these glowing reviews.  My only question was why more people in IT could not be like Paul.

When I heard Paul became a consultant, I was not surprised.  I wish him every success in his business endeavors.

On a personal note, I did find about his Karate involvement, but only on Facebook because his family and friends have pictures of him doing it.  Paul never talked about it.  In fact, before Facebook I did not know much about him personally.  Paul is a very private person and does not go about bragging or bullying like the complainer does.  Most people think Paul is very reasonable and he seems to be a very good friend and family man.  I can confirm that Paul gives a lot to charity and often runs races for good causes.

I suspect that Paul is the victim of a hoax here because he inevitably made enemies by correcting the failures of his competitors.  I let go of two technical guys on my own team when I realized how much money their failures had cost me.  It was nothing personal, but the errors showed incompetence.  Meanwhile Paul showed brilliance.

In closing, I highly recommend Paul de Prado to anyone with enough sense to recruit his consulting firm.  Paul is a leader.  He is soft-spoken, smart and very dilligent.

The complainer is just a whiner.  I seriously doubt Paul even worked for him.  The complainer does not sound managerial.

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, January 29, 2013

The ludicrous author of this complaint, JoeGrant87, has slandered my name on this public website.  I was not hired by anyone in Norwalk, Connecticut.  I did do some consulting work for a Maryland firm while in Stamford, Connecticut.  Certainly I have never and would never work for anyone with such poor English grammar skills as JoeGrant87 demonstrated in his complaint.  People having this kind of language problem usually cannot afford to hire me, so it is pretty amusing.  I strongly suspect the author is some jealous, would-be competitor of my former employers.

A quick Google search of JoeGrant87 shows he has made numerous filings on RipoffReport.com, often wildly accusing black people of rascism against white people.  I would normally laugh this off, but I see no humor in his attack of my personal business.  If he really did meet me, he would know I am kind, hospitable and non-threatening, often doing charity work when I can.  It is a very cowardly act to attack my name anonymously like this.

Lastly, the personal attack on my martial arts practice is reprehensible.  I am honored for the times I have been privileged enough to help teach people self-defense through unconditional positivity even in the gravest of circumstances.

In summation, the author should be ashamed of himself and find a new purpose in life.

Sincerely,

Paul de Prado
