My advice is to quit selling on eBay now. There are a number of different selling sites that have launched over the past year in response to eBay's loss of seller confidence. I do not sell antiques and collectibles so I cannot give specific sites to check, but AuctionBytes offers reviews and links to the new sites. URLs cannot be posted in ROR replies, but if you just Google AuctionBytes, you can find their site yourself. In addition, there are now other online payment sites that are: a) not owned by eBay and b) do not have the "seller beware" outlook on transactions. Even so, I would stay away from eBay. They have announced they will now be the intermediary in disputes (instead of PayPal) which very well may increase seller dissatisfaction and cause further defection. What eBay doesn't seem to understand is that THEIR customers are the sellers, and when sellers leave they take customers with them. I sell individual art and sold on eBay since 1999 until about a year ago. In 2008 I moved to etsy and while it took awhile to rebuild a reputation, I am now just as successful there as I ever was on eBay. Ebay has been experiencing declining sales, listings and a severe drop in their stock. They are not the powerhouse they were 5 years ago.
