Just because they got a credit card reversal doesn't mean that they don't owe you any money.

I need to get a hold of Vegemite1956 who wrote a similar story December 2007!! Our stories are very similar. A Wells Fargo Employee had automotive repair done on his vehicle at our facility, paid for the repairs in two installments with his Wells Fargo credit card. Approximately 60 days later when additional repairs were needed to be paid for, he was disgruntled, however we would not release vehicle until new repairs were paid for. Upon my husbands demands, employee drove my husband (mechanic) to the local Wells Fargo Bank in Santee Ca, while my husband waited outside in the vehicle, the employee went inside and obtained a temporary check (we believe he opened the account that moment just to obtain the temp check, subpoena to be issued). The Employee submitted the check, retained custody of his vehicle. My husband went to cash the check, the account was closed. We called to collect, my husband and the employee got into a verbal riff, the employee then reversed the charges on his credit card which by now was more than 90 days on one charge and nearly 90 days on the other charge, over $6,000!!!. The employee did not file a formal chargeback via his bank or the card issuer. We were never contacted by his bank, Wells Fargo, and when we contacted the bank to provide proof of services performed, product purchased, and the fact the guy was driving the vehicle, we were denied assistance by Wells Fargo Bank shareholders, Manager's and others. We NEVER had a chance to fight this through the issuing Bank, Wells Fargo. After suing the employee and winning, we contacted the Bank again, and they refused to help, stating it was a dispute and they disregarded the chain of events and how the employee processed the activity. To this date we have never collected and Wells Fargo has done nothing. This happened November 2006. After we won the two lawsuits regarding the check and the credit card charges, he appealed, we won the appeal on the check, and before we could appear on the appeal 7/07 for the credit card transactions, he filed bankruptcy. So now we have to fight him in bankruptcy court so he can't discharge the debt. THIS IS A BANK EMPLOYEE!!!!!!! If this was joe blow we'd be pissed and still fighting, and actually we would have had a better chance with the card issuer, however, this person is a bank employee and we had no chance. Now he is telling the bankruptcy court he had no judgments, and many other things. We have an Attorney now, i'd love to hear from people who have had similar stories. Not mortgage related or loan related, but like Vegemite1956's story and mine. BANK EMPLOYEES ARE PROHIBITED BY LAW TO DO THESE THINGS!!!! Wells Fargo is ripping us off.
