pccare247.com Scare TActics about "bloody hackers" ???, Internet
II had similar experience to february report. Could not find tech support on acer web site. I did a google search for acer support phone number and got this company. Rep got me to download GoToAssistStarter.exe had me look at the event monnitor, and filter it for errors. found many errors marked in red and told me that bloody hackers had tried to get info from me and maybe succeeded. I got suspicious when i heard in background another rep talking about bloody hackers. Even more so when he wanted to chare me a one time charge for 3 years support on all of my computers. Now I'm worried that he may have stolen some info from my computer,, or planted a virus etc. It would help if Acer made it easier to contact their tech support.
