As of this date my many calls and a formal complaint to Pep Boys corporate office have been ignored by the regional manager(Tyow Poe Regional Manger Waco) even today September five 2006, I was ignored. My car is not drivable and is making noises congruent with a bent shaft and damage from that junk yard part.

We had to stay overnight at a cost of almost one hundred dollars. We stayed overnight because of the promise or the car being repaired and the parts lying next to the car so it will be done tomorrow, for sure. This was an error that we found out about after waiting in a lobby of said hotel, we found out they had mistakenly ordered the wrong parts this happened again an again thought the day until someone finally listened to me as I told then it was a 2.0 SE Nissan. Then it was discovered that this part could not be found and is made only by Nissan. Instead of ordering it through Nissan Melissa K Saunders lied to my self, my wife and my mother sating she found the part though Everdrive, we were told when we paid our bill it was remanufactured and has a one year manufactures warrantee In fact Everdrive is a junkyard distributor and she not only lied to us but installed a junkyard part against Pep Boys policy and it is not noted as used part on the receipt. I found out it was used from a Pep Boys in San Antonio who pulled this old worn-out bent part off to fix a seal not fixed by Waco and I found out a whole lot more as this narrative below covers.

Outline of car issues (Tyow Poe Regional Manger Waco)

08-06

We have a bent junkyard half shat that is damaging ht seals causing a vibration and noise, I did not authorize the use of junkyard parts and my wife I and my mother were witnesses to the service manager lying to us stating Ever Drive provides rebuild parts when in fact it is a worn out, bent junk yard part. Also the connecting bolt and nut to the control arm to the strut both stripped, lose and incorrect grade of bold with incorrect pitch both striped and lose dangerously lose could have lost steering etc., this was done maliciously not by accident it took a lot of force to strip this bolt possible so we would crash when the bolt fell off. They did not mention lower ball joints are bad or at least need replacement since the rubber is blown out. Later we were told by firestone that was normal those joints run dry it is fine don't replace it until it wears out a scam to get more money, they showed this to us it still was connected and in fine working order. Did not replace seals and the junkyard shaft was not inserted properly. Seal leaking. Waco took off lower control arm for no reason it was not necessary and the break parts were hanging by the break lines unsupported in Waco(we have photos of all of this). .As stated before Junkyard parts used a very old axel from Ever Drive a junkyard connector all against Pep Boys policy. As stated previously we were told by the service manager that the Ever Drive part is a rebuilt part and has a one year warrantee, all a lie it is from a junkyard distributor and must have been taken off a wrecked car since it is bent and certainly one with too many miles on it, this was to avoid paying for a new part from Nissan and to get it out of the shop. That part was worn out makes clicking noise and a low speed noise associated with being bent it also has very worn boots in short the part is very loose and worn, the part also acts like a bent shaft as it makes the same noises a bent shaft makes. I stated after the mechanic at the Walzem shop lied about the car. We saw one mechanic who was told by the assistant service manager (who is friends with the service manager in Waco) she sent this mechanic out to talk to the mechanic who had my car on the rack. I saw this went out and realized they were scamming me stating thee are new parts and we did not cause the leak it will be double the labor. I came in and stated I want my car now he doesn't know what he is talking about and you set me up you and your buddy in Waco. They acted like children bullies on play ground making comments laughing at us as we left, I stated you need to get a new mechanic as I walked out the door. Said mechanic then flipped out and tried to attack us in the parking lot squaring off with me threatening me and my family. It was obvious that they were covering for the Waco shop since she is buddy buddy with the service manager. The shop on San Pedro did not call Waco as they also stated we do replace the seals as they are usually damaged. That's when the mechanic found the striped bold almost falling off it is the connection to the lower strut and our steering. This bold had a grade rating and the nut was completely wrong for that bolt wrong thread pitch everything. It was maliciously forced on and both the bolt and the nut were striped if it were to have fallen off we would have lost steering and crashed on the interstate at 70 plus mph. Also tear was no need to tear down the front end as they did in Waco we took pictures of the mess and my break caliper hanging by its hose that is dangerous and can break the hose it is clearly forbidden by all technical repair manuals. Both seals were leaking and it was due to the botched Waco job. They replaced the seals that I bought to the seals, I was told it was a worn out Junk Yard part and that was against Pep Boys policy. No fee was charged to me since I paid around $550.00 for the repair, by Waco. My Air conditioning did not work after I left there (Waco) shop it got hot. I took my car to Firestone since none of the Pep Boy shops could get the front end aligned the wheel was turned to the right and it pulled to the right. I told Waco that I did not want the car kept outside so for a week it sat in their shop I told them I had new tires I did not want them to be stolen. So I put air in my car after leaving Waco and the left rear tire was low once I filled it the car pulled severely to the right this cupped the tires and ruing two of my new tires (confirmed by Discount Tire) a automotive sheet metal screw was pulled from inside one of my rain groves Discount tie employees have me the screw stating this looks like it was screwed into the tire in that location on purpose.

My A/C was as I suspected tampered with to get me to come into Pep Boys and spend more money possibly over a $1,000 for new a/c when in fact they had loosened both Schrader valves at the service ports so it would slowly leak out and the A/C would get hot, this cannot happen on its own, it was malicious and fraudulent. My A/C was repaired and a can of Freon was installed, this would have made Pep Boys a handsome profit using only a $2.00 can of Freon (their cost) and my cost over $1,000 when all they would do is tighten what they loosened that clearly is fraud.

We also sat in a hotel lobby for an entire day when they knew that they could not get the part for a week. We got a motel room because we were told that they and the parts laying next to the car and it would be done tomorrow they order parts for the wrong engine and transmission so we had to rent a car and go home the next day, all expensive due to incompetence of this manager at Waco Pep Boys.

All of this treatment may be due to the fact that my wife and I look very Jewish and this is a red neck town or it could be just the way Pep Boys scams people. The striped bolt was an attempt on our lives no doubt making this a possible hate crime; this does not mean I do not want BBB to investigate.
