Phelps Water & Well Service ripoff Edgewater Maryland
We called Phelps Water after our well water stopped. We were sure it was the pump and thought calling a professional would be what we should do. Phelps advertises that they are a well & water service. The could not get the pump out, it got stuck and they tried to pull it out with the release cord and did not even have a working flashlight to look into the well. They said it would cost $900 to try to dig down and blow out any debris and if this did not work a new well would cost $5,000. They charged us $103.00 for this.
We called another company who said that Phelps is not a well company and they do not even have a license for wells. This other company said that they were contracted in the past by them to dig the wells for customers and never got paid from them so they stopped doing business with them. It is now two weeks and we do just now have a new well and now we are getting a call from Phelps and they want to know what we decided. By the way we only paid $3,580.00 for the new well. DO NOT USE PHELPS
