As "Cat" in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, U.S.A., I also received the Sweepstakes notification that I had been declared a lucky winner of a drawing on October 3, 2007. My prize was enclosed in the form of a check for $49,316.61, along with a check for $3500.00 for the payment of the surety bond certificate needed to negotiate the larger check. The only thing I need do is "contact Lydia Collins at Secured Bond Bureau at 1-(902)-412-2113 for further instructions, clarification and most importantly deactivating the financial block on the winnings."
Well of course this sounded too good to be true (momma didn't raise no fool) so I called the banks on the checks...... Be warned the accounts are real and active business accounts, but not for the businesses that are listed on the checks.
As I have researched this online, I have found others that have received these back into October of this year. The envelope has NO return address and shows a Canadian postmark.
As expected this is a RIPOFF attempt and please do not fall for it.
