I don't like taking time of my day to outline what companies are doing wrong in their quest to make profits, but in this instance I'll make an exception. Phone.com has a great domain name, a website that begs your business in the service model that by all appearances conquer all needs for any entrepreneur and their communications quest. But I can assure you, it is the anything but that.
In fact, and in summary you will spend money for a service that doesn't work, support staff that all use The same name "Leslie Roberts" in the business model the bills for services not received. I think in legal terms that's called fraud. And they simply don't care. They are filled with excuses and suggesting every sort of technological hurdle one could imagine to use this excuse to not provide the services that they're collecting my for.
So you can have some background on this I have spent the past year and a half testing this service and paying that money. I have verified with third parties that their service simply doesn't work and occasionally works but in business that's a disaster. Often, you can't log into the website and control your phone numbers. The caller ID service, simply doesn't work I don't care how much they promoted on their website. And other support staff, we'll listen to your recorded conversations without your permission. I think that is a violation of federal law.
When I left their service, they indicated that all my recorded conversations will be maintained nothing wouldn't delete them not even if I wanted to do. When you try to download recording conversations, it often doesn't work or it saves the conversation with the long string of characters that makes no sense to the phone numbers call et cetera. This company is a disaster. If you're considering phone.com please look at your options.
What I reason the feathers and sent them a legal notice, They indicated that they have refunded my account and I can move on and find another provider. No apologies, no explanations. They probably ran out of excuses because God knows they used them all.
And guess what I got today? Bill from phones.com for the services they refunded. The only thing that accompanied has done right is get a one word domain name. And they're using that domain name to fleece entrepreneurs trying to run a business.
