I just called the phone number listed on the check and found out that it belonged to a company that offers phone number forwarding services. It allows a subscriber to get a phone number from various cities and have it forwarded to another number (even overseas). Most likely, this number was forwarded to Canada. Just be aware that the number you call may not always be the city where the criminals are located.

Yes Mike you are right about this, I too have gotten some similar check from Masco Contracting Services. That real Contracting Service didn't send that check and that bank that has a 900 number claiming the funds are sufficient for 4 grand and 800 bucks is a phony bank. The routing number I bet is a phony and stolen or counterfeit one. Plus they are asking you to send in phony taxes to via Western Union for half the amount. Real Lotteries only ask you to pay from 15 to 25 percent tax in the long run not 60 percent in 2 seconds and they say if you send us this pin money check for taxes you will win quarter of a million dollars. I was smart to investigate Masco Contractor Lotto on Internet Google and found it in the rip off report. Had I cashed the check and not sent in that phony tax, I would have been in trouble by who knows who for cashing a temporary good check that was either counterfeit or stolen. I hope that FBI catches up to them because in reality nobody gets $4800 bucks just out of the sky for nothing unless theres a long term dangerous rip off catch. I also hope the FBI catches up to the fences that sent you your rip off check.
