Update on comments from "Bill" . As of 3/2/2009 , we have been contacted by Traco and informed that "Bill's" windows have been fixed. This service was completed by Traco in mid January.According to our contacts at Traco, all is well with the work that was completed. At this point we are responsible for any installation related issues only. We as a company are happy to have this issue resolved and hope that "Bill" is satisfied with the end result. Pittsburgh Window & Door Co. is a family owned business that has been in business since 1956. Mr Jones grandfather started this business and it is still owned by his family to this day.Deceptive business practices are not part of our mission. We are truly sorry that "Bill" feels the way he does, but we tried to help in every way we could. It is our feeling that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion and can express this in many ways, but to drag someones name through the mud and call them a liar is uncalled for.At this point we will refrain from any more rebuttals or contacts on this site, but would ask "Bill" to go about removing this from your site,as it could be potentially damaging to a reputation that we have worked very hard and long to build and maintain.Thank you very much !

In response to "Tom Jones is a liar" comments by "bill". We did provide and install 15 Traco windows for this customer , they were professionally installed by our company. Bill had expressed concern about the intensity of the sun on the front of his house.Upon presenting our sales pitch to him , he wondered if a "heat mirror " film would be beneficial for his project, we agreed and provided these units in five windows. After about four months, Bill contacted our office and felt that the windows were not peforming as advertised. At this point we contacted Traco , the manufacturer of the windows. After further investigation , it was brought to light that there was an error in the manufacturing process. Traco did go out to Bill's house and remedy the issue. At this time Bill did admit that the windows were perfoming better , but wanted Traco to do more for him . Please keep in mind that we are a dealer/installer , not the manufacturer . All Mr.Jones tried to do all along was try to help Bill out with this matter by being a go between for him with Traco. Traco on several occasions offered to try to remake the windows for Bill , but could not make what Bill wanted. After much persistence ,Traco has stepped up and is in the process of remaking the defective windows . As far as the "liar" comments go , Mr. Jones has been involved with this family business for over 25 years and always strived to do a great job for our customers , the "liar" comments are unfounded and untrue, and are not a reflection how Pgh. Window & Door Co. does business. We hope that Bill is eventually satisfied with his windows.
