Pizza Hut RGM posted a handwritten notice on Oct. 14 that informed all employees of the "from now" need to wear proper uniform, (hat, name tag, shirt tucked in, black slacks. Employees were to arrive on time for their shifts. Failure to adhere to this notice would result in write-ups and termination.

Several employees were written up that day for tardiness, I was one of them. The RGM told us he had thrown away all our past tardiness write-ups,and we were starting fresh.

In the five years I worked at this store, management went from telling us it was ok if we were five min late to threatening to fire us if we weren't on time. Wishy-washy. We were also allowed to call in if we had a delay without being written up. "Just call and let us know" was what we were told.

Due to cuts in labor cost, the schedule had become erratic with weird times like 11:15 and 10:45. We were used to at least a thirty minute round off.

I was written up on Oct 14 when the notice was posted. Ok. Whatever. On Oct 15 I was written up again. I thought I had read the schedule to be 11:30. But it was the next day that said that time. I was scheduled at 11:15. Aargh! The managers didn't even say anything to me when I arrived at what I thought was early (11:23). They waited until after my shift to write me up.

I tried to explain to three different managers that I had misread the schedule. The first two shrugged "sorry" and the RGM told me in front of many other employees, "If you are late again, you'll be fired." End of conversation.

On Oct 27, I lost my car keys and called in to let them know I was running late because of it. The managers were too busy to come to the phone, so I gave the message to the CSR up front. This was a common practise, tell whoever you can...

In the time between Oct 14 and Oct 29 (the date I was fired) two other employees were late every evening for their shift. They were not written up. The managers changed their times. They even asked the employees to say they had called, whether they did or not.

I was suspended pending termination on Oct 28, sent home. The RGM told me to come in and talk about it the next day.

I arrived ready for work on Oct 29. The CSR mentioned above had bend told by the RGM that he would accept my excuse of Oct 27.

The district manager and the RGM had a secluded meeting with me. The DM asked me questions regarding my tardiness and the relativity it had with the expectations of an employer. I listened and answered the best I could. I ended up having to say yes to most of the questions. They were a little twisted, but I thought I was home free, what the heck.

Nothing was said about termination until the paper was copied and signed by all three of us. Then the RGM looks at me and says, "well, we've decided to terminate you."

What the heck. I was asked to sign the termination paper. It wasn't required, wouldn't keep me hired, so I signed. Sigh.

The two chronically late employees weren't fired until Nov 2 and I had complained about it.

Pizza Hut LOSERS hire buxom beauty to replace old broad

HAHA HA and even Muwah hahaha to you pizza hut. They had to give me my unemployment because they couldn't prove my "tardiness" was a policy. BECAUSE it wasn't! Pizza Hut pulls out the policy book when they want and invent stuff to smack ya with. So there, take that. I found out this week I had been replaced. SHE is younger than me by several years and "fetching" which is what that boy's club in the back just loves. But, here is the kicker. Remember, folks, I was fired for being late? She used to work at another Hut, but was fired for, you got it, being late. OMG. But, it was ok, because she said it was just because the manager didn't like something she had said. OMG. The DM at my store hated my guts for years but that wasn't an acceptable excuse. Got rid of the OLD not so fetching broad. Women are treated like trash at this store, and I guess some of them are. Sex on the cut table????? OMG. Anyone hungry? Is that a health department violation? Only if you don't use the sanitizer afterwards.... HA. Also, I would like to know how the heck that crummy hut in Tennesee is getting by with all that crap!? What does it take before a business is held accountable? Poor Aaron. Poor everyone unfortunate enough to get a job at Pizza Hut. Any of you sold-my-soul-to-Sleezy-Hut managers ready to come clean? Rat em out and go get a real job. You'll sleep better.

Am waiting to hear from the UI folks. Waiting in economic ruin. wah. panic. Any encouragement out there? Am wanting to sue, anyone have advice? Pizza Hut managers are puppets to the one above them. Employees are just ladders to climb. Ouch! Watch the tender spots! ha? Bite my pepperoni, Pizza Hut.

very common, Pizza Hut makes sudden changes the schedule to put employees in violation, Pizza Hut Managers will make the register draw short, many times very short, so they keep the money and have a reason to fire you.

#4UPDATE EX-employee responds

I've read on this webiste, when Pizza Hut wants to get rid of workers, so they don't have to pay unemployment insurance, they, Pizza Hut makes sudden changes the schedule to put employees in violation to avoid costly insurance. Also very common, Pizza Hut Managers will make the register draw short, many times very short, so they keep the money and have a reason to fire you. Just read the story on the home page of this website. I was an employee of that pigpen run by a bunch of filthy thieves who are still working there 2 years later! They were sued big-time. According to the woman who claims she is still the owner and is not, Pizza Hut paid over $100,000 to this one guy named John. I listened to her about a week or two ago where she said, Pizza Hut would never get rid of her because she saved them over a million dollars in lawsuits. I know I am off the subject here but my pint is, this is the MO/mentality of Pizza Hut executives nationwide.

Was given a warning. Several employees were written up for being late including me. We were given a second chance. We were warned again about being late, could be terminated for such. The dang company changed the schedule to their needs. WHATEVER. I was written up twice more. I can't read a schedule. They warned me, AGAIN, if I'm late, I'll be fired. I was late again. Had a meeting with the DM and RGM and, the fired me. I don't know why. I can't figure it out. But what the heck, they fired two other CHRONICALLY LATE employees too. Go figure.
