I too have had a similar probem with this company. I had new ball bearings put on my 1998 Dodge Durango and it was approved to be paid by Platinum Warranty and when I went to pick my car up I was told by Dodge I had to pay for the reparis or I could not have my car back. The approval fax from Platinum Warranty states that that is a binding contract and proof of pending payment. The Dodge delaership HAD to release my car to me even if it was unwillingly. It took over 1 hour and a call to the sherrifs office but I got my car back and did not have to pay. Of course this was Feb 2004 and as of today August 2nd, 2004 the payment to Dodge from Platinum Warranty is still pending payment but has been approved for payment by check. I have called over a dozen times on this claim only to be told that it is pending or the economy was bad and we are behind on processing claims. Today I finally had enough and called the CEO of the company only to leave a voice mail. I know I will never receive a call back and well will give it one more week and then it is off to file a complaint to the BBB, Attorney Generals office in Ohio and also to look for a private lawyer possibly.
